How are you going to adapt when YouTube inevitably limits video views themselves? Hulu used to have free views with ads similar to what YouTube has right now. Eventually YouTube will eliminate free viewing. These proxy sites are only a temporary solution to the bigger problem of capitalist enclosure of online communities.

Intellectual property is crap. We should do away with it. In software, which is what I do for a living, there is an entire litigious industry surrounding the enforcement of patents. We have a legal team that researches software patents before we even endeavor to develop any software that might infringe on existing patents; they also file patents for shit we make to negotiate patent infringment later.

I like meat and would kill animals to eat them even if the meat industry did not exist. Vegan arguments--in my experience anyway--tend toward moral arguments about mistreatment of animals. I see the mistreatment of animals as a symptom of the meat industry and capitalisms endless drive toward more profit. Veganism seems like a consumerist solution to an industrial problem. I am not set in my ways however. I would like to know, why are you vegan?

I will not downvote you but maybe tell you why I think you are getting downvoted. Many transgender people struggle to live as the gender they identify with and have many self-doubts about looking female or male. I don't know if it was intentional but by saying if she

looks feminine she will be fine

you are introducing more self-doubt, and more anguish to her.

Next, you suggest plastic surgery. This is like telling a diabetic that cannot afford insulin to just buy some and stop being poor. It is not feasible for everyone to have access to those solutions. Part of being on the left is to recognize class struggle and suggesting plastic surgery is only available to those classes that can afford it.

Try to understand where she is coming from.

My heart goes out to you, I know it doesn't mean much coming from some online weirdo, but know that there are a bunch of people out there that support you. Struggle is difficult but you are not alone. Remember that being who you are is about your well being. You matter.

I am a cis gay male. I have no strong opinion on this either way, and am aware that because I am a cis gay male it allows me to have no strong opinion on this. I have no problem with transgender/intersex/genderqueer folk and would readily fight along with them for equal treatment and respect in society. If that means the abolishment of genders as a whole that is fine with me.
