I'll add that when I was caught they searched the trash and found the wrapper. And this was for something that was only a few dollars.

I got caught a little over a year ago for something that was a dollar from a grocery store. Felt pretty dumb, and looking back I was not subtle in the way I dressed/acted. Stopped lifting for a year and only started again recently and still not much. Anxiety is way higher now but I'm thinking way more about cameras/blind spots this time around and the way I present myself.

What I did was shop out of the reusable bag and throw in just a few small things and then when I paid and took out the bigger things it looked like the bag was empty. I also had mittens that I put in there so if anything I could say it was just my personal items. Not ideal for everything obviously but if you wanted to nab some smaller things.

Also, think you could put a purse in there and fill that with things and then when you go to pay you just take the purse out so the bag is empty.
