Reply to Should we be using the word "rape" when talking about artificial insemination of animals? by theblackcat
I don't know, it maybe depends on the person I'm talking to. If it's a sensitive person I'm not gonna throw words at them, but if it's someone who can take it I go for it. I see how it could throw people off and make them get defensive. On the other hand some people might be shocked about the phrasing and after calming down go and look if what I said was true? I just generally don't like sugarcoating stuff, especially if it's important to me.

Yup, now that I reread my post, I didn't mean to imply liberals are fash. Only thing that's upsetting about them is when they are becoming ignorant or dismiss leftism, happened to me a lot and often when it's about violence. Where I'm from they tend to be pacifist and instantly judge leftists for including violent tactics. Lots of them go on and say nazis are as bad as antifas because both act violent from time to time. Then they go on and say: "Antifascists are the real fascists." This shit triggers me so much, especially since the right-wing bullshit is gaining more and more popularity here.

Fight the game and not the players... but nothing beats bashing the fash from time to time...

Reply to ITT: Introduce yourself by tlckl
Hey, I'm unk, started getting interested in politics when I was ~16 years old, went vegan two years later and from there I branched out to anarchism. Currently active in an anarcho-syndicalist group and always trying to learn more about anarchism in general. At the moment I'd label myself anarcho-communist or because of how I got here in the first place: veganarchist. Still learning though, so this might change over time, who knows. :)

I'd agree on no porn. I mean, there are feminist porn sites, but 99% of porn isn't like that and most of it portrays women as only being there to please men, which doesn't really align with our or atleast my believes.
EDIT: Porn is everywhere, we don't really need it here tbh, do we?

You could make it so the users themselves can decide whether or not they want emails, for example by adding a check box in the settings or upon registration that asks if the user is okay with it or not.

Yeah I know, I didn't mean to rant or anything, you mentioning RES just made that suggestion pop up in my head. I mean it's definitely something that is not necessary as there are more important things to work on first, just wanted to throw it out there.

The RES feature of embedding pictures and videos upon clicking a button next to a post would be really cool too.
Really like this site so far, it's just lacking some small conveniences, which tbh aren't really necessary but would be cool to have.

Reply to Linksunten Indymedia Announces “We Will Be Back Soon” : Indybay by medusa
After police went through the houses of the operators of linksunten in Freiburg, they presented pictures of weapons (some slingshots and knives) they found which went through major media outlets, later it turns out there never were any weapons in their homes, the weapons were actually found in the autonomous cultural centre "KTS". Moreover two of the three operators were journalists which got their press accreditation taken away during the G20 summit.
The intentional distribution of misleading information is frightening... Seems like they wanna go hard on leftwing acivists before the elections for the sake of getting some more votes.
