Reply to Is it possible to start anarchist change by creating self-sufficient anarchist villages? by calamada
I wonder if this off-grid village would be very exclusionary, especially towards people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or other dependencies not conducive to a Mennonite-lite existence.
Crop failure is not uncommon, especially with climate change making droughts, fires, and rains more severe. An aggricommune sounds very risky on an existential basis.

This list here seems to offer the details of how far plasma has to go, especially finally going wayland-first. It was last updated Feb 27, before this megarelease, so perhaps it will be updated and this list will shrink soon.

I might have missed if this was suggested, but if you're using the apps, consider deleting the apps.
Turn off JavaScript on your browser so that those websites wont work. You can selectively enable JavaScript per website, which gives you control to enable it for the ones you want to block, too.
You might also find luck in using a parental control type app to block apps and websites.

Flour tortilla, slightly warmed.
Add some vegan mayonnaise, tahinni, hummus, or any creamy thing you like.
Add topping like: pickle slices or pickled cabbage, slice a raddish for crunch or dice a pepper.
Gently roll it and you get oily and salt/sour from the pickle.
You can also do peanut butter or whatever you grab from the pantry.

Reply to what are you watching this month? by wednesday
Started watching the new live action Avatar (the last airbender) show on Netflix.
It starts with a horrible and violent event that is not depicted in the cartoon.
Not sure if it will stack up, but i want to like it, despite that.
Excited for the next part of the Dune film to come out. The first one of this new reboot was faithful to the novelization and the sound design was divine, so I have high hopes for pt 2.

Reply to What does it mean when a sentence has the same thing 3 times? (e.g. "a contract is a contract is a contract") by MountainMan
This is one example I found that references this literary device.
https://wiki.adminforge.de/wiki/Rose_is_a_rose_is_a_rose_is_a_rose?lang=en
Sometimes it is used to really emphasize the identity of something. In your example, I would interpret it to mean something like "contracts are just the way they are" or maybe "contracts are all the same" ie unbreakable or liable to bind vulnerable people, etc.

Green onions do come from seeds. They can be propagated from the root bulb, too, so they're very versatile!

Reply to How do I file a super bill with medicare by EmberGrove
I found a list where you can find your state and region reimbursement values: https://therathink.com/medicare-reimbursement-by-state/
"If a therapist does not accept your insurance, they are considered out of network. You can request that your therapist put together a Super Bill or an invoice about the services you received and what you paid for them. A Super Bill requires that you pay for services first but you can submit it to your insurance company and potentially be reimbursed with some or all of your therapy costs."
Here is a resource for reimbursements: https://www.medicarefaq.com/faqs/medicare-reimbursement/
And here is their link to the reimbursements forms: https://www.medicare.gov/claims-appeals/how-do-i-file-a-claim

I get what you mean. Would you agree that, just maybe, there is no wrong way to be a lesbian? Like deferring to this attitude makes some kind of sense. We're always learning more about how others navigate the paths we want to follow.
What I meant by boy brain is just the cumulative experiences that shaped the pre-transition self. Sifting through your thoughts and filing them as like affirming your transition self or not sounds like a huge drain on your operating energy.
I really just want to emphasise that nobody should tell you how to be a lesbian, especially not a redditor policing women's bodies.

Your awareness of "both sides" gives you some complex perspectives. I might not know the best way to ask this, so here goes: do you have to constantly fight the "boy brain" while you reinforce your lesbian sexuality?

Reply to "Something a guy would like" by AuroraAustralis
It looks like the top commentor is projecting their insecurity about how a person shares sensual photography of their self.
Perhaps they are exposing an internalized fear of the male gaze, or more likely saying an opinion they've associated with that type of pose/etc with a common disapproval among whichever peer group such they're signaling their in-status through reinforced dialogue.
I don't know if that helps you feel like less crap but I hope you can find a way to pick through the feelings with a focus on your own pride and self-confidence.
Hot girls can be hot and have cringe "male-likeable" pics and you can like them without being less of a lesbian. Cleanse the lesbian correctness police from yourself. <3

Reply to comment by Noodlebrain91 in Anyone finds a connection with anarchism and "spirituality"? by Noodlebrain91
The soul is not a special concept to me. The self, and our individual perceptions is reality. But perceptions are always framed in the personal experience plus a biological concoction of very strange and unpredictable noise.
Insofar as essence, I view it in a mechanical way. Life is amazing and special but it isn't unreasonable. It is just what happens when you look at a place like earth at this time.
solaslux wrote
I dunno. The spirituality of those I've known has been so corrupting and authoritarian that I cannot see anything spiritual as anything but abuse reskinned.
I've adopted a rational approach as a coping mechanism and I suspect that it is more useful than spirituality.
It is a failure of mine in understanding a dismantled patriarchy, that I cannot see the things it has become synonymous with as salvageable.
To me, "spirituality" is a rejection of the real world and a choice to adopt fantasy in place of truths, painful or otherwise.
I cannot see anarchism as spiritual. To me, it is freedom from spirituality in the bounty of nature and reality.

Reply to "The development of agriculture enabled the human population to grow many times larger than could be sustained by gathering" sounds like bullshit to me by stagn
Perhaps the attraction to agriculture is to a labor difference. Gathering and tending to a very large "natural" garden versus tending and planting/harvesting a farm plot. The development of mechanized and industrial farming, to me, hints that further labor reductions is a key property driving the development of agriculture.
Whether that was true before the 1900s, I can only postulate. I'd look up data but I hope someone else here knows enough in the anticiv framework to address the labor idea instead.

You can always lie. Its not like recruiters or hiring managers will spend much time with you after the fact. Also, completing your workload and establishing boundaries with your team/managers is an essential skill.
You don't have to drink their koolaid, but if you want to try "working" for them, you can get pretty far by being invisible.
It really depends on who you're working for. Some places do intolerable surveillance metrics "actions per hour" type monitoring - don't even consider that type of place. Some do a more fluid get your work done and report at the meetings. Much easier to do the least in that scenario.
