Are you kidding? You can lose weight and have it stay lost. Its not my fault the average person's poor understanding of nutrition causes them to eat fake health food like coke zero or take on impossible diets that work as short term fix rather than a lifestyle change. Hears a treatment plan, excercise and eat right in a sustainable way.

Obesity is proven to shorten your life span up to a decade as well increasing complications in surgery. Its not healthy any way you slice it. And losing weight is good for you obviously if you gain it back it hurts because you'd be fat again. You're either lying about what you eat or trolling me. If you eat a proper diet you wont be obese. Only a fraction of a fraction of the population has obesity due to """endocrine issues""" and even then that only contributes to a small part of that obesity. Being fat is privilege and a damn dangerous thing.

Fatphobia is a joke. I can understand if you have a low income or weren't lucky enough to receive proper food education. But its one of the dumbest things ive heard in a long time. Obesity is a dangerous illness. Period. Corporations take advantage of poor education and bad laws to hurt people. Fatness is not something that should be celebrated. Its not healthy. Its a result of capitalism and it hurts people. Saying we should patch the issue by "accepting fat" is one of the most liberal things i've ever heard. We should work to spread good information on how to eat right and helping people eat right. Maybe if your friend is broke help him buy some better food. Those who eat like shit and can afford not to while demanding acceptance for their over-indulgence make me sick to my stomach. Your problem isnt real.

Its not. Any disputes settled in the streets, solve nothing. ANTIFA is just virtue signaling. In the end it makes a helpless group of people think they are fighting the enemy when in reality they're just fighting the result of it. What there needs to be is the usage of capital to build infrastructure that evenly distributes wealth and fosters community independence. ANTIFA will argue this point, but overall they're seen as a joke.

For semi free as in freedom alternatives (just software)

  • Lineage OS: Opensource degoogled android its the most fuctional and has some decent development and ports but the con is its still android
  • Copperhead OS: Its dead
  • Postmarket OS: no functionality but really promising so keep an eye out
  • Purism phone: The software is about as present as postmarket and the hardware is half real, half vaporware. If it does come into fruition, it will completely free as in freedom, both software and hardware.

For both hardware and software freedom

  • There is none. Even Replicant has proprietary blobs in the bootloader

If you really need smartphone apps your only option is lineage. You can use Yalp store to have google play without the google and microg. If you can part with smartphone apps get a flip phone and use a lightweight laptop with hotspot.

People want to say what they want to say. Having some group of people telling you that the nuance of your speech is wrong is obviously going to be met with resistance. But all in all, political correctness is one of the reasons the left is dying. I've never meant someone who wasn't a bougie liberal who thought political correctness was an important part of improving the life quality of humans. Its mainly a way of appeasing white guilt and creating the illusion of progress. I rather a person donate to the FSF or switch to linux than refer to me as a "person of color". Not only that, but political correctness gives way to thought policing and pedantic shit like picking apart the way someone says something rather than looking at the content of their words. TL;DR White people use it to tell minorities how to think and help themselves sleep at night. I rather people do important things.

Youtube is the host of wealth of content thats unique and likely only present on that one site. Aside from using peertube, one of the things that should be considered is that you should back up your favorite channels. For people on unix based systems here's a quick guide for doing that with youtube-dl.

1). Install youtube-dl either through your system's package manager or compiling from source

2). Navigate to your favorite youtuber's page, in this guide I'm using a one of my favorites: Bisqwit. The URL should look like this That long string of nonsense is your youtuber's channel ID.

3). Go to the directory you want to store the videos in and run the command 'youtube-dl'

4). After running this command it should take while, but it will download all the videos your youtube has posted.

Happy archiving!

You dont. America is the place people escape to. This is the top of the ziggurat. Europe may seem like a Democratic Socialist paradise but its becoming more like America every day. It has alot of rules and government regulations that are frustrating beyond belief. Trying to build any housing is insanely difficult and time consuming and almost everything is taxed or banned. If you think the government is big here, its even worse in the EU. The politicians are corrupt, its expensive, and opportunity is limited unless you're rich or skilled( i assume your neither if you have to ask the questions). The same applies to Japan, implying you'd get in, and the rest is just third world countries. You have no choice but to stay here and do something.

Anarchism as I perceive is the replacement of the state with the people. It needs to be decentralized, liberating, and completely voluntary. Military insurrection is absurd. Ignoring the fact that it would be put down easily, despots and tankies would likely come into power and start a regime. Reformism wont work for hundreds of reasons, the largest being that it involves the state to work. In my opinion the only way for America to be fixed is the implementation of dual power. People will turn to the state if their needs are neglected. For instance, they'll support engorging the state if they dont have food. We must give them bread. We must provide safety. We must construct an alternate world within the state based on equality, mutual aid, and freedom. We stay of politics, we do the dirty work, and we help people. Thats it.

More specifically, here's what you can do personally:

-Use linux and support free software-

Technology is big part of our lives. Making sure its free is vital. Use free/open source software whenever and wherever you can. Its based on principles that respect the user, rather than prey on them.

-Get involved in local efforts to improve the area- River cleanups, removing litter off beaches, soup kitchens and things of that nature. Help people on the local level and help cultivate a culture of mutual aid. Stay away from massive charities as they tend to be profit hunger companies. If you want to get involved in a large charity make sure its workings are transparent and that it has no ulterior motives(this is rarely the case). LOCAL GOVERNMENT WILL BE TEMPTING. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH IT. Being able to affect change in politics quickly and effectively has massive appeal, but any form of the state is not to be supported

-Limit consumption- Try to switch to a plant based diet and not to engage in consumer culture. Media is okay to watch, but make sure that you pirate almost all of it. Dont support these massive companies, leech off of them and watch them bleed. A plant based diet does more than you think and piracy is fun for you and free. Be careful though.

-Avoid protests and pamphlets- When I was younger these were a popular trap. Young people with "revolutionary" take to the streets and stick it to the man. They'll tell you disruption of the status quo is paramount. Its not. Its mostly to give you a false sense of accomplishment and let you LARP as some badass insurrectionist. Take that energy and put into helping your fellow humans and community. Also, refrain from getting involved in the nitty gritty of IRL anarchists. Alot of them start little groups that, rather than help people, just consist of them complaining and saying how everything is futile.

-Dont get involved with the state- NO REFORMISM

Those are just some steps to start.

Not every leftist is your friend. Many will try to make you stop your efforts. Saying that helping your community is somehow reformism. Alot of them are simply burnt out and casting their bitterness on others. Do your part, nudge others in the right direction, dont use the state.

Good luck OP.
