Ah, okay, maybe I misunderstood the plot a bit. The wokes were actually having an initial one-off deplorables hunt in response to Reddit leaks then?

which is quite funny because apparently the rightwingers were outraged when the film was released.

Lol, everyone outraged, that's great. Very strange film then, like Cronenberg's Cosmopolis.

They're anarcho-bidenists. They're the fascists dreamed up idea of everyone in this monolithic imaginary construct of "the left". You're one of them. I am one of them.

It's also very fascist in it's way to call for instant murder of this dangerous woke elite, e.g. when our hero drives a car wheel over the head of this "american ambassador". I guess I'm interpreting this film as legitimizing the murder of "us" (because we have hunted their friends in the secret pizzagate ritual).

I am not ruling out that this film could be a "See, this is exactly how fascists think"-film from a non-fascist director / writer, but the final fight dialogue is so much rub-it-in-your-face teaching-the-libs that the ritual human sacrifice is real, that I'm inclined to suspect the film should just be read at the surface for what it appears to really want to say.

  • No one busted us. We were joking but you ignorami took it literally. You actually believed we were hunting human beings for sport.
  • But you are.
  • What?
  • Hunting human beings for sport.
  • No.
  • Oh yea.
  • It wasn't true.
  • This is your manor, isn't it?
  • It's not a fucking manor. It's a house I rented in Croatia and had decorated.
  • But it's yours and you're hunting people, so it is true.
  • Now. Now, it's true, because you made it true.

It's because it's like Qanon-pilled. It's the Iraq veteran who discovers manor gate and shares the truth on Reddit along with other hunteds who've been going to tiki torch marches and poaching rhinos — yes, that's literally the photos on the wall —because the vegan antifa are the bad guys here, remember.

I almost felt like this was alt-right mirror-version of dark satire like Don't Look Up except with added violence, perhaps a bit Tarantino-ish.

I wanted to see the whole film to see if it would pull the rug on me in the end, but no. The whole point of the bad animal liberation people not realizing that they are the true, 4 realz murderers, and the old woke evil guy yelling I'M A GODLESS ELITE. FOR THE RECORD ASSHOLE, CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL! before bashing a hunted person's head in with a shotgun, well, it doesn't get much more pilled than that (except they didn't do adrenochrome and weren't lizards and there was no space lasers). Throughout the film: good working class = good patriot hero; evil upper class = evil woke climate activist.

Seemed a bit like "What if Pizzagate was real"? and the anarcho-bidenist hypocritical vegan woke champagne snob elite want to cancel truth-seeking redditors by actually hunting and killing them in an elaborate gaslighting setup. Quite red-pilled?

Seven national police officers, called Carabiniers, were stung trying to arrest the beekeepers and move the beehives out of the street, police officials said, and were taken to the hospital.

Bee violence? Is it violence if a police person gets hurt while actively arresting someone while taking inadequate safety precautions.

I listened to the full interview. Deeply disturbing but very revealing to hear his blend of mea culpa, deranged conspiracies, psychedelic new-age trip ramble, and occasional undisguised unashamed white supremacy and fascism, and how he kept bringing up Ghandi and non-violence. I love Channel 5, how they just let this guy ramble.

using a computer is a failed anprim?

Not owning the means of production is a failed communist? [...] Anprims are caged birds just like everyone else. They're just more aware of it.

That is such a sweet and empathetic way of thinking of it. Love it.

At least we can try breaking to-a-lesser-degree out of the planned-obsolescence cage, e.g. by running free / libre OS on used / discarded windows-laptops that can't update to a supported version. I feel like participating on Raddle is also part of breaking free of the Facebook cage or Reddit cage or whatever people are on / in.

/u/SnowCode If you've just bought a brand new iPhone or Win11 laptop then arguably that could be viewed as "failed anprim"..? Perhaps I am just pouring out micro consumer nonsense here, but whatever.

Here's a shitty review from the guardian, because why wouldn't they? "broad potshots and a smug superiority tanks his message"

As opposed to the stammering of the panic-attacked Mindy, McKay browbeats at high decibels; his technique is much closer to Dibiasky’s on-the-air screaming that we’re all going to die.

YES, THAT'S THE POINT!!! WE ARE!!!

Except that his script states the obvious as if everyone else is too stupid to realize it and does so from a position of lofty superiority that would drive away any partisans who still need to be won over.

Better tone down the alarmism to not scare the climate deniers, oh yes of course. It's the messenger who is delivering the message wrong, yea, not people being too apathetic to listen, no.

The character making it out of this film least-scathed is Timothée Chalamet’s Yule, a young skate rat hanging out around the hometown to which Dibiasky eventually returns.

Okay, I can agree with the guardian about Yule being adorable.
