heartbreaking. there’s been a concerning trend recently in disabled people resorting to assisted suicide or palliative care that could otherwise be potentially avoided. why is the question “how can we help you die?” and not “how can we enable you to live?”. for many of these cases the resources exist, it’s apparently just cheaper for everyone if disabled people to simply die instead. how little do people value disabled lives that we allow this to happen?
