Since you’re comfortable with makeup, Ultä’s got the new Colourpop Animal Crossing collection out and since it’s limited edition, each piece is going for 2x+ the asking price.

Also art stores are pretty easy and acrylic paints and fine art pencils and markers are expensive and sell pretty quickly. Good luck!

Are you under the impression that I shared the article as a big warning? Like “omg there’s so much more LP now, quit lifting everyone! :(“? Because I didn’t mean that and didn’t even imply it.

There’s a way to disagree without being an asshole. BigThief is always respectful from what I’ve seen, even though he’s one of the most skilled and experienced lifters here and mostly deals with amateurs.

That attitude isn’t going to get you anywhere and there are so few forums like this left ever since the subreddit and the decent tumblrs got taken down. Plus it makes the forum suck, I hardly ever even post here anymore because there used to be another guy who commented rude shit constantly on every post, please don’t become the new guy lol.

Gonna go out on a limb and say you don’t like women very much. And how the hell have you been caught FIVE times?

In my ghetto-ish hometown the store is ancient and has like 4 cameras that feed to a split-screen tv that’s mounted 15 feet off the ground in front of the doors—so not only do they show me where all the cameras are (the tv even has each camera labeled with the department it’s in), they put the tv somewhere where no one can easily watch it and there are no towers. I would doubt they have LP except at the regional level but they seem like the type of place that might post a security guard if shrink is awful. I will warn you that the SAs at least at my store wear plainclothes and the last time I was there I counted 3 SAs on the floor that I first mistook as customers.

Someone I know concealed a single pair of socks and LP literally stripsearched her to check for more. She was 17 at the time and even though the age of consent was 16 in her state, I have no idea if it was legal. It was definitely unnesscesary and I’ve never even done any legit shopping at Kohl’s because of it. I agree that there’s nothing there you can’t get somewhere easier.

That's a really good idea, thanks! I usually just fold mine up and wrap a bunch of toilet paper around it so it looks like a used pad/tampon, but not all stalls have sanitary disposals (and obviously that only works for women, lol).

When something is source tagged it means that an RFID or soft tag was stuck inside the packaging by the manufacturer. The only way to get it out is to rip/cut the tag off the packaging.

Oh okay. Is there like a plastic key that unlocks those up at the registers? The ones we had when I used to work in retail a few years ago were cheapo ones that didn't trigger any alarms so I'm not very familiar with the alpha boxes. Thanks!

I've been to a lot and every one has been easy as fuck, even better when the markers aren't locked up. Mine doesn't even have cameras. As long as you're careful and you stay aware of who's around you should be golden.

Probably, but my local PD has literally put pictures of people who've lifted ice cream from a convenience store on their FB page. Seems like it depends on how adamant the store owner is or maybe how bored they are? I doubt they're coming for you, but don't go back to that store for as long as you possibly can. At this point they've probably just taken note of your appearance and plate number.

I second BB&B. I've gotten so much shit there. Once my friend got those super fancy Dr. Scholl's custom-fit shoe inserts that cost like $60 and we beeped going out (we didn't know they were source tagged). We were literally passing a manager and she didn't even look at us as we beeped walking right past her lmao. Not saying be sloppy or careless there, but BB&Bs are usually gold mines.

Wait, so if the LP at the front of the store leaves their post, no one else is monitoring the cameras? I figured they were mostly for show and then they had more LP in the back.

I doubt it, but it might depend on the laws in CA. If concealing itself equals lifting there, they might try it, but since they got the stuff back I think they'll just keep a watch out for you/your car. I'd stay away from that Walmart and the ones closest to it for as long as you can. Better luck next time!
