if you can be vegan, but are not, then what's your excuse? I totally accept "I don't care" or "my cultural indoctrination" as an answer. I just wish people were honest with themselves and others about what they actually believe in

Fucking mood. This is something I live by and is a big factor in why I can't stand most people.

I'm still not sure if I should have deleted my comment to this. I told them that if I was in an ideal Anarcho communist society I would hunt carnists for sport and if I would not it wouldn't be real anarchism. Little edgy and not into the whole theorizing but also fuck that would make the carnists mad.

Yeah I was getting worried I have been struggling to strike gold with an incidiary topic. It's nice to hit gold again. Very sad they deleted their account. Me responding that I actually emphasize with animals but not most people bc I don't like people would be funny.

Also the statement cows > people is actually a write up I've been thinking about from an anarchist value standpoint.

omg yeah. I've been thinking alot about how mainstream veganism kinda doesn't get veganism imo. The whole buying beyond meat at burger king thing is a prime example of said thing.

I'm not really frustrated I just think it's funny to make fun of Redditors. We aren't really in disagreement, I agree that basically all of the revolution talk is escapist fantasy hence why I like provoking discussion to bring up how most people who write about it arent being honest. It's annoying to get tied down debating fantasy when I'm trying to figure discuss anarchism I can actually do. Us I find the advocacy of violence by people who don't intend to do it annoying. Tho overall I don't really care that much as long as people don't try to convince me it's a good idea.

And I'll ignore the tired anti vegan arguments bc I don't care to much and my veganism is pretty amicable. Just wanted to mention that it's not really a counter argument just ur comment really just agreeing with my premise. Of course the people who are so oppressed that can't cook food can't fight in a war. which should be explanatory bc conflict requires a lot more time and resources than cooking diner.

Not really coming at people who aren't vegan right now. More just like, holy shit people really don't know what to the things they say entail. Like they know what fighting or heck just being a civilian around a war is many many times harder than being vegan.

I'm just trying to wrap my head around the idea that someone would think they would want a d could fucking help kill people in a bloody war but like just no eating meat is far too hard. WTF is this person's thought process

I disagree. I know this and use it all the time. Plus for some volunteer work I did I did it a ton.

Im not someone who needs consoling. I don't like it. When I genuinely ask for someone's input I ask bc I want it. Do when people respond in a way a good engineer could do with an ai it just pisses me off. Sure it's good at consoling but I didn't want consoling.

If someone asks for advice and u instead respond how u think they want it's just rude.

In case anyone is doesn't allocate my every comment to memory (u well adjusted fuckups) I actually didn't dip on taking care of a kid bc I didn't want the responsibility and tried to play hot potato with caring for my own brother.

In case anyone is wondering why I was so offended. 1 the whole thing shows a massive misunderstanding of central parts of my character and generally just understanding me 2 being supportive in a pretty disrespectful way by just agreeing with me and supportive my massive life decision despite not really being able to make an informed decision 3 just is a person who I had shared so much with but fails to understand even close to how I'm feeling and doesn't really care that they don't. I prob could disect a large amount of other reasons why I was so upset by such a response . But mainly I liked this takeaway I got that helped me disect a trope which portrays many women as crazy and irrational when it makes sense if u think about it.

Also can people please play me the smallest fucking violin. I can get lots of people to want to have sex with me but I can't find anyone I can stand talking to due to my massive ego making most people extremely annoying to me and I refuse to change central tennant's about myself to get along with people.

People just don't understand he struggle of allways searching for women, men and queers who I like talking to but instead finding annoying people who I keep having to turn down sex from I don't like. People don't know the struggles of being perceived as attractive and on paper desirable but actually a jaded asshole who refuses to get along with anyone. Boy does that sure suck.

Omg that another woman trope, (never having sex who want to have sex with them and just wanting someone nice to care about them lol)

This is untrue. For instance I live in a super rural area. The local town had I think 12 cops. This kid who comes arroudn to run the skid steer sometimes I'd the don of the ex police chief. He openly talks about doin shit like driving 90 mph in a 40 which is covered on crosswalks and right by a kids park that is actively used.

He's been pulled over but the cops wouldn't want to hurt the ex chiefs sons record so they let him continue to drive like that. Bc he's go his whole life ahead of him. He's like 18 or 19 years old btw.

It's not that, more I'm not going to do an unadhamedcharacter assasination of myself if no one if going to engage with it in an interesting way and people are going to possibly distressed or just complain. The whole subforums isnt something I'm interested in. Tbh I treat the raddle front page like my own personal blog anyway.

Fucking schools if they don't teach u how to make supervillain inators what's the point.

Tho tbh the whole troubleshooting and reading manuals is a super useful skill. In my experience having such a skillet is incredibly valuable. So that's pretty cool. Thanks for answering my question. Congrats on getting a job.

Maybe don't be sober. Maybe find a middle ground that u like. For one I would advocate for trying to make all ur alcohol u build a positive skill and it's less impulsive and way way cheaper. Don't worry it's super easy if u don't overcomplicate it.

I would say philosophy that helps deal with emotional distress would be quite helpful, Buddhism, taoism, stoicism and cynicism are pretty good and active nihilism can help too tho thru observation it's not nearly as effective in emotional resiliency.

Way easier said than done but solve the problem of emotional distress. Also follow my three R's Reduce, Replace and Resist

So instead of sobriety take it a day at a time in a safer fashion. Reduce by changing how much u consume at one time and how much u consume overall, replace by changing to a safer substance and resist by trying to kick the next dose down the road.

So some strategies using the 3 rs is one drink one glass of water per alcoholic drink and dillutie said dose. Not to mention alcohol dehydrates the hell out of u so u will feel and be better off. I usually do 1 wine to 2 water so half a glass at a time in a large glass or half a shot filled with like 10oz water. Then u chug some more water.

Maybe use a far safer drug instead such as taking kratom instead of alcohol or using more cannabis instead or using cannabis edibles rather than smoking. And then whenever u think U want to drink, u go ehh let's see if I wanna drink in 20 mins or something, set a timer and then if u still wanna drink go drink.

I find the taoist philosophy arroudn substances to be much better than my old method tho I'm not enough of a sage to explain it lol it's complicated.

Okay, let me detail ur thread to pry info I want out of u. Lol

Often times for academic topics my I treat stems from projects I can do anarchistically. Though with engineering I never really bothered to understand basically anything bc my gut reaction is that it's basically all relevant to larger structural design of things that an individual can't so such as roads, large bridges, houses ect. As someone who is knowledgeable in engineering I would love to hear u share any cool things u might be more able to do that is relevant to anarchists bc u r an engineer?
