Unless you are oppressing people or being an imperialist, leftist anarchists will just leave you alone. The problem with "left unity" is strains of leftism that have authoritarianism at their core. They see the success of any leftist model that isn't theirs as a threat to their legitimacy. Anti-authoritarian models will always be at odds with authoritarian models because authoritarians will move against anti-authoritarians as soon as they have ANY power.

In honor of the title of this post. I didn't read the body and upvoted it.

I am also a syndicalist and I have a lot of feelings on this. I think it is a mistake to dismiss economic concerns by saying that we need to reevaluate what is important or that we need to become self-sustaining. Both of those statements imply that our average well being will need to decrease in order to see greater equality.

The solution I’ve been kicking around is more detailed than what i’m About to lay out.

First, i am operating with the assumption that we are talking about a syndicalist community existing within a capitalist world - to me the most likely outcome of a revolution in our lifetime. Second, i’m Assuming that this community doesn’t have enough natural resources to make everything at home or does not have the industrial capacity.

With those assumptions in mind I think you would need some form of an abstraction layer that stands between the syndicalist community and the rest of the world. This would probably look like a bank.

To see how this could function, let’s look at an example. Jane has a widget factory. Her widgets are loved all over the world. However, this widget requires a special metal that only can be found in Europe. The community wants Jane to make her widgets and sell them at home and abroad because they love the widgets and selling them abroad increases the wealth of the community. So the “bank” lends Jane the money she needs to import the metal and she pays the loan back with her foreign profits.

The key to a bank like this would be communal and equal ownership. That way, who gets these loans, and how much is loaned out is subject to community approval.

This is a much simplified version of something bigger I am working on but if it interests you, let me know and we can chat more about it.

I try to avoid isms and ists. We are so far away from needing to differentiate between the specifics of leftist theory. Also - I find that liberals agree with me and can be convinced by arguments much more easily if they don't actually know I have anarcho-syndicalist leanings.

Of course there are fascists in our midst. Just assume we are being watched by cops and fasc all the time. Use a VPN and don't talk about illegal stuff online. Basic opsec.

You have to assume you won’t know. Just conduct yourself accordingly. It is why it is important to not discuss illegal activity in explicit terms and to not incriminate yourself.

You always have to assume your group is being infiltrated if you are a leftists. We have been targeted by the government since the beginning. Infiltration online is even lower effort than in person infiltration (and cheaper).

Also, they are harder to pick out. The FBI generally has more intelligent people than /pol/ (despite what /pol/ wants you to think) and they don't see us as caricatures. So, yes, you must assume that the FBI is watching this site. They are also watching /r/Anarchism and every other leftist board online.

Obvious stool is obvious.

The one post about saying things like "Logic only" shows how easy they are to point out. Ban and move on.

I want to talk strategy. I want to learn about how to grow my local and how to organize workplaces.

I think we have a great opportunity to push radical unionism and I want to make sure we are making the most of it.

As far as what I like, I am a huge economics nerd. I spend almost all of my free time reading economics papers and books.
