Did you read what she said? She is only making a suggestion about personal choice. Is it eugenics because she has a platform that primmies don‘t have?

I think you're projecting a lot about her and your conceptions about other politicins. AOC, from the impact she's made in only two months of being in office, is almost nothing like other politicians. Do you believe people lose their radicalism as soon as they look towards changing politics to help the people with the shit end of the stick?

Yes, shes not that radical, but radicalism and praxis isnt a binary situation.

So basically what its saying is they if you're going to stream a song more than 27 times "buy a physical copy" read:download the song.

Also spotify mobile streaming comes from their servers, but streaming on desktops is p2p-powered which I believe isnt nearly as energy consumptive. I should look more critically at the numbers they gave and do some research into how correct or overblown they are but I dont think it would be the best use of my time.

Made me think too: how the hell is a robotic leadership going to provide us meaningful global change? A certain large sect of voters arent going to trust robots and another large sect of voters will feel threatened by a robotic leadership and do what they can to stop it. Will it lead to a robot-led insurrection leading to a worldwide robot vs human civil war? Or more likely, the robots will be programmed to help the capitalists that created them and under critisism say they are "programmed to help humankind ."

The last part of the essay about the nerds desiring transhumanism because they arent comfortable in their skin makes me think of a meme about the nerd and his high school crush but the nerd has rocket blaster arms and a half robot face and robotic legs sponsered by DARPA yelling "I am the alpha! I am the pinnicle of humananity!"

"Ya, fuck yall for saying I eat less meat even though I could. Im not doing anything wrong, its the corporations that need to be held accountable and stop what they're doing and im so glad that's gonna happen soon!

/sarcasm

Ugh.

Its also possible to boycott these corporations when its possible too. I think the mindset that individuals arent in the wrong is a pretty harmful mindset.

I have a hunch that most pragmatic vegans will be against this new discovery, even though those same vegans say that vaccines are still worth taking even though they contain animal parts.

If I thrift (I normally do) I go to womens cause they have cooler stuff. If im buying new I go to mens cause i'll want it be bland and (unnecessarily) better quality. Its fucked how basic mens clothing is usually black or tan and womens is blue or purple or something with an unnecesary pattern and generally worse in construction.

If anyone reading this is using chome, Why? Google is learning everything you do online because of it. Firefox is a fantasic desktop browser. I didn't want to make the switch a year ago but when I did I loved it. If you're on a mobile device, Firefox, DuckDuckGo, and Kiwi are all great open source options.

If you have a belief and you do nothing, do you actually have that belief?

I like this a lot. Definitely going to quote this whenever I can and do what I can do live by it.

Also going vegan, planting trees, harassing corporations, going straightedge, and any other positive action/praxis is going to influence others simply through societal pressure, but pragmatism to help others make positive actions can do a lot too. Its much harder for people to start doing any of these things without meeting people that already do them.

everyone is doing it so how can they be wrong? It's not surprising they believe that when the entire system is based on democracy.

I like this a lot.

There's definitely other evil industries besides the meat industry and the tech industry, every industry is going to be evil, they all take part in the violence.

I think I read it somewhere on Raddle today, if you believe in something and don't act on it is it really something you believe in? Edit: that was bloodrose in a few posts down.
