anarchist fix-it shop for bikes, scooters, motorcycles, bio-diesel and hybrid vehicles, no freaking gas guzzlers, unless you're willing to sign an anti-government, anti-oil company manifesto that says you'll use your vehicle for purposes liberatory (anti-poverty, etc.). Basically just an old guy (me) who's good at making machines go safely down the road (certified) who has a sliding scale fee down to parts-only work for hugs and play me some new jams. hydraulic lift.

If it wasn't a gun it would be a club or a kitchen knife. U've only scratched the surface. Is there any discussion of perceived threats and fight-or-flight brain chemicals, even from those with whom one shares an abode? Then throw the commonly used figure that 3 out of 4 violent crimes include drugs or alcohol, like throwing gasoline on a fire. Finally, toxic jobs make toxic workers 70% of Americans hate their jobs but do them to support dependents... any resentment there? How do women contribute to machismo? How did I become a toxic male as my mother's son? Why are toxic-feminists so narrow-minded?

Besides the state, someone ought to be able to guarantee the safety of the people of Bangladesh (of the world in general). What is immensely clear is that the world's present institutions and states have no intention of doing it.

As I tried to state to the A-news collective, America has always had the makings of fascism: the Nazis studied the American extermination of Native Indigenous; the American class structure is a blatant superiority complex which easily slides into authoritarianism, from the slave-owning founding fathers onward; the same church-born, repression of sexuality, respect for authority and neoplatonism exists in Puritan America as it did in Germany, Italy, France and Spain; the generalized social psychology of America is completely, hysterically pathological, as it was in fascism; the Nazis learned propaganda from the United States, etc. ...Alexander Reid Ross complains of artistic writers who got too close to fascism while our entire society is immersed in it. Antifa has had nothing to say about that. Alas, Aragorn wouldn't have it.

Race and Class, like the Irish slaves brought here, low wage laborers are treated like dogs, the Mexicans of Albuquerque and LA, the African-Americans of Brooklyn and south side Chicago and the entire service economy. What color is your bartender? Doesn't matter, they don't have healthcare, pensions or decent wages.

read thru the electric lit website... really depressing and easy to see how literature became trivial and disappeared... the uncareful closeness to a cultural superiority... the uncritical amusement of cleverness in the face of... finally the trivial and ultimate nothingness of middle class life... maybe literature will resurrect in w. africa...

Wow, i'd forgotten that people read... its been so long since I've enjoyed a book, I remember long hours with hand-rolled cigarettes, Duras, Balzac, Blanchot, Miller, Woolfe, Berger... I loved those times... I'm glad someone's still writing, though PEN seems so boojie... Eileen Myles, Michelle Tea, Chris Kraus... ah so bourgeois in this social system (Adorno)... maybe there can still be some poems, Fanny Howe...

Its been so long since I talked about the art of writing with any anarchists... I had an art film denied by the chicago anarchist film festival, that's the level of artistic discourse in our milieux... we haven't kept up with the state of the art (no thanks to the educational system, university and otherwise) the NY Times review seems positively juvenile.

The united states lost its literature in its class system...

Stress management, very important, I do 5-20 mins. counting 3-2-1 while taking a deep breath with each number every AM; actually took part in a biofeedback experiment which showed meditation (focused, controlled breathing) reduced several stress indicators.

also there is "4-7-8" breathing, which I've used in protests: breathe in count to 4; hold count to 7; breathe out count to 8...

Is Alternet just jumping on the MSM bandwagon here? Because last I looked, MSM was big brother... Is no one critical of mass media reports? Can we get an anarchist zine on media deconstruction: Transmitter> Message> Receiver...

Lots of alt media. showing official narrative on Vegas massacre is false, i mean, we've all had camera phones for a few years now...
