ni.hil.ist uses the standard config on most things, including logging and account deletion, which you can look up yourself. The TOS also has some info for you -> https://ni.hil.ist/terms. As well, it would be naive to just take my word for what I do or don't log, that's why I try to make it easy to connect over Tor some of your privacy into your own hands.

Do you think it would be possible to change the way data is being handled or do you see it as totally necessary for the instance to work? It would be nice to have a Raddle companion that also does not log.

Blocking gab was one of the first things I did lol.

Great, lol.

They don't have access to ip addresses, however the server admins of other instances can see your toots/dms to a user who uses their instance. I suggest adding alternate messaging services to your bio no matter which instance you choose.

WTF with the DMs, that's creepy and unnecessary, I understand that toots are public so it makes sense, but DMs should be private, they are personal information.

I have a few questions regarding this instance and how it works when in contact with others, I'm trying to find the best one in terms of privacy and since there are a lot of them and the vast amount don't care about that specifically I've decided to use PTio's one -which still isn't great since they haven't dedicated a lot of work as their main site-.

Do you log any kind of users' data? Do you keep data after account deletion? Does your instance connects with Gab instances? If you do any of the previous, would you mind changing those? Do you know if other instances have access to this data even if yours doesn't collect it?

When you register to Autistici/Inventati they ask you to tell them who you are, what are your political alignments and such, and they give you a link with your answers which you can check to see if you have been accepted. If you loose the link you can't register since there are information about how to proceed, and that information is later deleted. I don't know how easy would be to implement that on a forum, tho. Also, this is if you don't want to leave an e-mail.

If the webpage thingy can't be done I think a couple of answers to provide you are human an not an alt-righter isn't a bad idea, Disroot does something similar.

Nope! It’s actually a bios replacement. So it’s mostly related to tails in that it’s a tool for securing your computer. It’s based on coreboot so looking into that could give you some insight.

Oohh, so Heads can work with different OSes? This is really interesting, I'll try to read a bit about coreboot and see if I can understand something.

To respond about the resistor and the soldering thing. I was just being clumsy with the soic chip flasher. And then had to clean up after myself.

Yeah, still no idea about what that means, I lack the knowledge, lol.

I’d love a link to the forum first, if you don’t mind.

Here you got. https://forum.privacytools.io

I thought that Raddle was like any other forum on the web

I'm curious what you mean by this

I wanted to say "I thought that Raddle wasn't like any other forum on the web", and I was referring on how they handle and store data.

There's an option for setting an expiry date when banning, but it's rather cumbersome to use

Why is it cumbersome? It does not work properly?

What the actual fuck, this person is [removed], they posted child porn????!!!! Why did they start doing this? At least they can't do anything more by now.

Is the website going to be invitation-only now?

Woah, pretty cool, is it an amnesic OS too? What are the main differences? Just that you need 2FA to log in? I didn't understand the hardware part. Why did you break a resistor? Do you have to sold your components in something really specific in order to use it or what?

Except for the when I broke off one of the 0.3 mm resistors to the left of the chip and had to hand solder that back on. Be careful about those. :/

Also, do you mind if I copy paste this into the PTio forum? I'll give you the credits. Ima create a GH issue to see if they can list it, it will help with the development which seems a bit dead now.

I tried installing it but it gives me an error, do you have any idea what could it be?

This is the error:

user@debian:~/MangoHud$ sudo ./build.sh install sed: can't read /root/.local/share/vulkan/implicit_layer.d/mangohud32.json: No such file or directory sed: can't read /root/.local/share/vulkan/implicit_layer.d/mangohud64.json: No such file or directory

Oh, this is great, for a moment I thought that Raddle was like any other forum on the web. I think both of your ideas are great and I think re-writing the privacy policy should be done as soon as possible.

Also, is it totally necessary to control trolls via IP blocking? This leads to a lot of exit nodes being blocked when there are a lot of users under good faith who could use them. If it is totally indispensable, can these IPs be unblocked after X amount of time?

I would say Riot.im or Keybase, whichever y'all prefer. We could use GitHub for the technical stuff too, although I still don't finish to understand the project.
