"Anarchism stands for liberation of the human mind from the dominion of religion; the liberation of the human body from the dominion of property; liberation from shackles and restraint of government."

Power structures have done nothing to help me or mine, I've seen more good done for people by those around them than pundits ruling from a far away high chair. I believe people given the opportunity can group together and make something better than the shit hole we were born to, tactics may be different, methods may be strange but at the end of the day we have the chance to make our dreams reality.

My bad I thought it appropriate to answer each part, unless you'd prefer to just make posts into the ether without discussion.

And since when did I ask you or anyone else here to trust me? You should trust publically auditable code and vetted resources like I suggested in the post.

Avoid services like Skyecc and Cyphr. While they have not been breached YET they have similar infrastructure and practices.

At the end of the day ANY service that advertises "remote wiping" means your device or at least its account is constantly phoning back to their servers. In the case of Encrochat this was exploited by taking control of a Single Domain name.

Skyecc utilizes consumer grade hardware with no alterations to the device, this is good and bad. Good in that the device remains intact and whole. Bad in that as long as a camera or microphone is physically connected to the board there will be the possibility of gaining access.

As far as their Data Sim oriented services are concerned this just adds another attack surface as seen by SIMJacker, there are numerous more vulnerabilities such as exploits to the hardware of the device or consumer OS like faulty fonts on iOS.

You are much better off using opensource software like Graphene OS or Calyx OS

https://grapheneos.org/

https://calyxos.org/

And utilizing a username ONLY service when applicable. I personally do not like Wickr due to their policies and practices. I recommend Signal as you can utilize any number of voip services for sign up or Briar a p2p messenger that utilizes Tor similar to the now defunct Ricochet project.

Have solid criteria as well as indepth information on how to prevent DNS and IPV6 leaks

https://ipleak.net/

This site includes a torrent address checker to make sure you aren't leaking from your torrent client (I enjoy using Transmission on Linux)

You can also look into alternative file sharing networks like Demonsaw, i2p, Tribbler, Freenet, and muwire

Njalla is a decent hosting provider that allows access over Tor and payments via crypto, you have the option of using an Email address or an XMPP account for sign up. Njalla acts as a middle man by assuming control of your domain name that way if anything occurs its not your name on records. And I frankly enjoy their responses to court orders.

https://njal.la/blog/

I've used Njalla before and my only gripe was an unavoidable outtage that affected others in the same geograhic region. SAVED BY BACKUPS.

As far as the micropayments are concerned you will need a sort of go between currency that your site users will readily accept, I would recommend something like Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Litecoin for easy adoptability or Monero if you want to protect buyer and seller from being identified in a transaction

"Yeah, asking for a space to post your business is asking for a space to advertise your products. Advertising products cost money. Asking for advertising space is asking for something for free."

I fail to find where in my post I mentioned anything about advertising for free. While I do admit it would be nice again it is far from my main priority, I am perfectly willing to contribute and am attempting to do so by posing questions and suggestions on a public forum that it seems others are finding interesting.

" Like, if you were a regular user here, I would have a very different thought about it than just some new person I've never seen before who hasn't actually helped to build the site or drive traffic here or post content."

This is exactly why a better known user should start a sub like that so that way there can be a vetting process.

"Like, why are you here? If you haven't done anything here yet, but the first day you open an account you ask for space to advertise, why are you here?"

Post was made on a whim, I figured if the qustion popped into my head others might have considered it but not asked. I honestly didn't consider it would garner this much attention. As stated I'm here to help others concerning digital and physical security practices, methods, and tools.

"It seems like you're just here to make a buck. That might not be the case but I have no evidence to show me otherwise..."

If I was trying to make a quick buck I'd be shilling affiliate links to skyecc, cyphr, ncrypt, and omerta on facebook, debop, fiverr, gumtree, and instagram like every other ass NOT on a relatively small forum. As for the evidence more posts are to come with hopefully some quality content and nice tips and tricks.

If you reference the initial post

" This may not be the right spot for this but I'm curious if anyone would be interested in making a /f/ for radical businesses.

Seeing as how there are numerous collectives, coops, and small shops that could benefit from this I feel this merits discussion.

Disclosure I'm including myself in this as I do have products that I believe would be of use to activists."

I was simply asking if someone would consider making a spot for businesses to be listed, I added that I myself have a shop in the interest of transparency. At NO point in any of these responses have I asked anyone to purchase my products; I haven't even linked to my shop in this thread.

I am familiar with the Zapatistas and their most recent plight, their coffee is the only kind I can consume without ill effects; I'm new to this particular platform so if I am able to make it I will however I thought such a task would be better relegated to a user who is already respected and able to properly vet and moderate.

My reasons are as stated I found a niche where I can contribute, and aim to provide tools to those who need it.

Believe me I could be selling the same tech to any number of unscrupulous organizations or individuals for immensely more. My motivation is to make this project self sufficient so as to further spread these devices.

If everyone is using encryption and up to date devices than that drives the cost of companies and governments to break said devices and means there are less weak links either in a protest or sensitive envirnment i.e. Belarus, Hong Kong, Poland, Ukraine, Libya, Mexico, Guatemala, etc.

If you can link me to a way where I can source quality hardware that meets security and privacy standards AND guarentees buyer and sellers anonymity then I'm all ears. I'll be happy to send a list of suitable models and specs.

Everyone else in this same space is charging anywhere from 1000€ for a device plus a 300€ to 600€ subscription per month for devices that are NOT community verifiable and run on unsafe architecture like Encrochat where the servers themselves hold user keys and maintain constant connection with said devices making the service itself a central point of failure. This is what I want to change for a fraction of the cost with NO subscription.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EncroChat

The devices I've built can be built by anyone however I've noticed not everyone has the time or patience to learn said content hence why I offer them preloaded however like everyone else in the world I have more ideas than resources, if more devices are to be made and sent to those that need them then funding is needed to maintain that supply chain.

I titled it "radical" in the sense that these businesses are coming from small places decentralized and attempting to help others and would ideally contribute to other causes or networks; give back in a sense. This way I'm putting my knowledge and skills to work for something aside from a souless entity that will ultimately use it for less than ideal purposes.

On my part its because I noticed a lack of skills and tools and feel that someone somewhere could use it especially seeing how badly such devices are needed in todays technology driven envirnments.
