FB Marketplace & online selling apps. Not gonna give any names. I’ve made about $10,000 in the past 6 months reselling shit. Stopped doing it because:

  1. Started to feel like my situational awareness was slipping (had several close calls within days of each other)
  2. Wanted to start making money legitimately in my business

Pawn shops are a big NO NO. Too easily tracked. Not scalable enough. Too many variables like how many are located in your area, how much they’re willing to give you, etc. not worth it.

In short form: Yes.

Many of us here (including me) have made tens of thousands of dollars doing it. It’s mostly about timing, what time of year you go, what you can get rid of quickly, etc.

DO NOT GO BACK. AT ALL.

If you can help it, wait atleast 6 months to a year. By then, the staff will have more than likely turned over & you can walk in freely. Don’t worry tbh. If shit happens, it is what it is. What’s done is done.

I’ve had my fair share of run-ins (followed into parking lot, stopped at door, etc). If they were gonna come after you, they’d have done it already. Unless you got away with THOUSANDS, don’t trouble yourself about it. No one is gonna show up at your door.

I’m out of the game now but the @pp1e store was one of my main go-tos. Especially for headphones. I stopped going once a plain clothes LP stopped me by the door when I didn’t have anything. Apparently some guys robbed the store the week prior who were dressed similarly to me. I decided it wasn’t worth the trouble anymore after that.

Same way I feel. The shit all counts the same after like $50 bucks. Might as well go for the stuff that’s worth the time.

A $600+ home therapy device & a $500+ laptop. Not gonna give the exact brand names but they’re pretty well regarded.

Managed to swipe about 15-20 game systems around holiday season. Xbox Ones, PS4s, Switches, etc. Obviously those are like $300-$400. Plus a bunch of headphones around that price range.

Probably lifted about $20k+ worth of stuff last year. I’m out of the game now though since I wanted to “clean” the money.

I’ve found that walkouts work best when you boldly move towards the door after getting your item. Works best in stores where there’s registers located all over the store.

Only hiccups I ever had was I grabbed the item & lingered around the store.

Best advice: try to find that perfect time when other people are coming into the store & getting serviced/greeted by the workers.

I posted a thread a few weeks ago about discovering that Apple had undercover LP but just recently found out that the stores in my area got hit HARD last month through the news. Turns out they just starting putting them in after those events.

It was honestly easy as fuck to get shit from there before but when I went there earlier this month, something just didn’t feel right. And I ended up leaving after scouting it out.

Always trust your gut.

I managed to snag a pretty high priced mid-tier laptop during the holidays. I think that’s really the best time to do it because they get too much traffic to ask for receipts. Pretty difficult to pull off on your typical day.

Most stores don’t allow Apple laptops or products onto the actual sales floor & if they do, then the item is HEAVILY monitored so I wouldn’t even try it with those.

Quick update: I’ve been laying low and had any random visits since this encounter. I’m probably just gonna start to transitioning into only lifting around $300-500 profit per week. If that. Gotta admit that I got my fair share over the past few weeks. Definitely needed to scale back.

Welp. Two days have passed & I’m still clear. I’ll give updates as time moves on.

I lifted about $500 worth of stuff (that they know of) so I assume they’re gonna attempt to build a case. Too bad for them that I won’t be showing up again.

The felony limit for a misdemeanor in my state is up to $2000+, so I’d guess the cops won’t be wasting their time showing up even if they got my license plate.

To be honest, I was an LP at B3$t By3 a few years back & usually they’ll apprehend you if they KNEW you stole something. Especially if a manager gets involved. Other than that, they will case build you until you hit the jackpot felony limit.

Big mistake. I know. I had lifted a nearly $600+ appliance from there a while back during the early Christmas rush. I vowed to not go back after that but I had a buyer lined up for a particular item that only that store carried so I “had” to get it. Atleast it was a different town about 45 mins from where I stay.

I made sure to come in during a different shift this time & everything went smoothly. I just fucked up by using the random alarm as a diversion when I really didn’t need to.

Funny caveat, when I first started lifting years ago, I got detected in a very similar manner. I lifted from T@rg3t using SCO then came back to the store an hour later. LP confronted me but nothing ever came of it since I said I didn’t take anything, told him to check the cameras & walked out.

I gave myself a pass in hindsight because I was still a novice but I shouldn’t have gotten sloppy considering how much I’ve done this.
