As i explained to Belsima, that came off horribly black-and-white. I probably should have either not mentioned it, or went very in-depth with it. I'll edit it out. I don't want to ignore these issues or put them in the back-seat at all, quite the opposite. I do think that class is the number one priority, but that doesn't mean social issues should be ignored at all - and just like that, we are all so different.

It's not like that at all, I can see how it might come across as that though. There's a lot of people here who have simply refused to try to understand what I meant, which is what I'm referring to. I regret typing that now, actually, I'll edit it out.

Kropotkins ideas are still very relevant.

To clear up what i meant with the "no war but class war" statement: I simply don't want this to be a war between comrades at all. I want it to be a war between those that oppress and those that do not. I want class war to come first, but I sure as hell don't think we should ignore these very important issues, too. They don't have to "take a back seat" so to speak. I should have went more in-depth with that in my post (or just not mentioned it at all), since it seems pretty black-and-white up there.

It did without a doubt, I'm happy to have been a part of everything here for as long as it lasted.

I've listened closely to what they're saying, and I've learned a lot from all of this too.

I don't know what will happen to Konsent. Maybe surreal will take over for a while, that's up to them. Maybe I'll keep developing, but I don't see what would motivate me. If I do decide to keep working on it, it's up to you all to implement it and get it to work with Raddle.

just going about your day not bothering to try to learn

That's not at all true. I've been reading up on the topic, I've been discussing again and again with other people here, I have listened to what they have to say and learned from it. Apparently, what was true yesterday is not true today, though.

this is not just a matter of definitions for the race thing

We talked about this in the thread yesterday, and that seemed to be the conclusion we reached. My definition of racism was the one written in the dictionary, and I hadn't realized that so many people here have a vastly different understanding of that word. I'm more than willing to learn where and why I am wrong, though, if you want to explain it.

What is the core of the issue then? I thought we reached an agreement yesterday - I learned from it, and will make a serious effort to educate myself more on the topic before i speak in the future (please remember that I didn't think c0mrade was joking - somehow you and others keep insisting that I was reacting to a joke, which is a lie).

Since I keep coming up in this context, let me say this:

The shit about being bland is long gone. I made a serious mistake, i have apologised for it numerous times. We all make mistakes, we should all be allowed to make mistakes, as long as we are able to recognize them and make an effort to change.

The drama yesterday about racism was nothing but a disagreement on definitions, and a misunderstanding on whether it was a joke or not. We cleared the air and got in on the same frequency again.

Calling me a white supremacist and queerphobe for that is way too much.

To get back on topic, the admins don't need more power, they need less. I oppose.

I'm not insisting on disagreeing on a simple word, it's just never occured to me that racism means something completely different in this community. I'll gladly adopt your definitions if it helps me communicate with other people here.

Thanks for taking your time to explain it, I've rewritten my definition of racism.

That's a simple matter of definitions. Words have different meanings in different parts of the world and in different communities, and in the case of "racism", as all of this proves, the differences can be pretty vast.

To me, the example you're giving is very clearly racism. I've never known anyone (IRL, that is) who understood the word racism as what you're describing. If that's what the word means to most people here, then I see why they're pissed at me - I would be, too. But please remember that we are not all the same, to me racism has always meant just what i described above. We are not some uniform mass, and I'm fucking glad we aren't.

I replied to T_W from the inbox, and didn't see c0mrade's comment saying that they were joking until now.

I called it racism because that is what it is (if it's not interpreted as a joke). Racism means nothing more than discrimination or prejudice based on race. Of course racism against white people is practically non-existent, but it is nonetheless the definition of the word.

Of course I do. #AllLivesMatter has appeared in respsonse to #BlackLivesMatter, which is problematic because there is very clear evidence that black lives seem to matter less in the face of law enforcement, government and a good deal of ordinary people. White people do not need to fight for their lives to matter, they already do; the #AllLivesMatter movement is absolutely meaningless, and i never defended it (quite the opposite).

My comment was in response to someone calling for the systematic killing of a people based on their skin color. Yeah, it was apparently a joke, but I didn't catch that (I explained why in my response to Dumai).

Since so many people that i respect are disagreeing with me on this, I must be going wrong somewhere - but I can't see where. Here's how I'm interpreting all of this:

/u/c0mrade called for the systematic killing of all white people. I told them to get out, that we should stop grouping people based on something they're born with and not in control of altogether. T_W came to defend c0mrade, saying that i was wrong to not want the systematic slaughter of people based on their skin colour. A few hours later, c0mrade said their original comment was all just a joke, but T_W keeps defending it.

Why is it that everyone thinks i am in the wrong for not letting characteristics that you are born with, that are out of your control, have any say in who you are or how you should be treated?

the prejudice that members of one race are intrinsically superior to members of other races

There is no such thing as reverse racism - there is those that discriminate, and those that don't. How can you support someone calling for the extermination of all white people? That's absolutely fucking absurd!

Abolish all racism, not some. I sincerely hope you don't honestly believe that calling for the killing of all white people is a good thing to do, and doesn't classify as racism. That's some impressive double-think.

I don't think that can actually happen. The internet isn't a world in itself, it's not some sort of alternate dimension. It can help fuel and connect the revolution (in my opinion it is vital for success), but it cannot be the revolution in itself. At least I can't see how it would work.
