i used to have a vegetable yard, tough not anymore, i don't have the land for it. i'm also quite handy with building and setting up computers and networks (this used to be my job) and have an interest for mechanics but never really got into that due to lack of materials to test and try.

other then that, i don't have any other interests that could be considered productive.

well, i'm a heavy gamer and do get involved with several groups for multiplayer games, the problem with that is quite big tough.

  1. most are very young and simply don't understand the problems they are about to face.

  2. most are not even from my country, never mind the local region. it's very hard to motivate them to do anything at all since i really have no idea how their local community works, heck, often they don't even have an idea.

  3. other then the games played, there's no real way to connect to them, if they need help i can't come to help, if they feel sad i can't come to support them. i can only use words, sure that's better then nothing, but having people around literally saved my life in the past, it wasn't the online friends that stood by me in my time of need, it was real life friends.

other then that, i don't really have any "multiplayer" hobbies, i'm not the kind of person to play sports with other people or hang around in pubs (way to noisy).

i guess it's not going to be easy, well, then we'll just have to do it the hard way.

now that i think of it i do know of three local organizations that may be good for building a network, one is an autonomous daycare center for both very young children and the elderly, another is an organization that cleans trash from the streets, the last one is a sub-group of the red cross that focus on collecting blood donations, they are looking for volunteers, perhaps that's the place to start.

yeah, maybe i could join back with the party crew and try to get them moving off their asses and actually do something in stead of just talking, that may be a lot more efficient then trying to start from scratch.

and i can perfectly talk to people once we get to know each other, it's meeting people that's hard for me.

thanks for the reply.

so it's a meeting place for anarchists to share ideas, thoughts and events?

sorry if i may seem a bit dumb asking these questions, but i haven't found a place where anarchists meet, i'm quite surprised to find one. don't get me wrong, i'm very happy i did, perhaps now i can learn something about it from the actual people and not what others say about it.
