I'm with you on nationalism being unstable and hard to assist, but dduring their existence as a de-facto autonomous region they've done good to women's rights and progressive policy, which is preferable to the alternatives. Look up Rojava. It's not recognized as a nation but it's functioning as one, de-facto.

It's not exactly an ethno-state, as it is secular in its constitution and practice. It's different from Israel in many, many ways, starting off by not being a settler colonial power and being a bottom-up force.

The same goal as its been since Nazi Germany; eliminate fascism by a diverse set of tactics. If you have been paying attention to how America has operated as a government in the past 70 years, you'd know how ingrained suppression of marginalized people and political dissent is in this county.
