Just continuing a long tradition of firefighters hating the police tbh

(Edit: more of a long time undercurrent than a tradition)

, everything he said is totally right, it is absurd to have a parade every time a cop dies, especially when it’s a death caused by a culture of negligence, not to say that there isn’t more nuance to peoples opinions on vaccines and gun control, but it’s hard to deny that the police in the states culture makes it incredibly hard to empathize with them, even to non anarchists.

A few days ago I ended up giving a police report for the first time in my life, the circumstances were so bizarre, and the police were already involved anyways.

There was a car crash, both cars were totalled, but the people despite the damage to their cars were relatively unharmed, I went up to one of the cars to open the door to let the guy out and see if they were ok… the guy who caused the accident, was very unwashed, and looks like they had been beaten up before hand said that they escaped being held captive in a basement and had been tortured and involuntarily drugged for days on end, he told me that his family was being held captive as well, and gave me an address, and said he doesn’t know if they would be alive if they didn’t get help.

However strange his story was, and I had doubts that he wasn’t just in a drug psychosis, if there were in fact people being held captive by (his dealer I assume) who had their lives at risk, I am definitely unable to deal with that problem myself.

I had a faint suspicion that some of the things he was saying were unfortunately true, and I have known people who have escaped similar situations, furthermore there have been a lot of missing people found dead in my area in suspicious circumstances.

This already exists it’s called a criminal record, and credit score.

The combination of the two already excludes people from getting employment and and taking out loans in North America…

When so much of the Economy is based on credit not having access to a kind of credit or a credit card excludes people from making essential larger purchases that they will never be able to buy on the spot, if you don’t have a good credit score you have to rely on credit that is much more exploitive interest rates, therefore making participation in a credit based economy more expensive for the poor and marginalized…

Even finding an apartment or rental housing land lords ask for a credit score, so if you chose not to participate in the credit economy, or chose not to pay back fines, student loans etc, you will not be legible for the housing.

In a system where you need to often spend money on schooling unrelated to the employment, and where diplomas are often requirements for entry level jobs, Or people who have loaned tens of thousands of dollars for schooling, only to be faced with an employment field that favours the most privileged. Schooling is often essentially used as an indicator of ability to be obedient in a hierarchical system, and private schooling an indication of being fit to mingle with the higher classes.

Because most of the things that posted were n00b shoftlifters, bad/incorrect advice, fake accounts, spam. I think that forum was a bit of a lightning rod for bad faith posters, also like raddle Isn’t a dark web site so like idk.

As someone who is interested in reading about peoples successes etc and illegalism in general, the forum was pretty cringe.

Even in places that I’ve lived where there is adequate space to set up music equipment, that stuff can admittedly get quite messy, cables pedals, amps, drums, instruments, And I can get self conscious when my roommates hear me playing, like when you sing in the shower, and have your partner comment on it, I like to feel free to be exploratory when I play music, so despite being a pretty proficient musician in bc want to be able to focus on very specific things that are often quite discordant, I’m sure no one wants to hear rudiments and scales for an hour each day. If your city has music rehearsal lockouts I might recommend looking into it, if you have a few friends who are also interested in music it can make sense to share the cost of renting one, as much as it was an additional expense it also cleared up space in my house, helped avoid conflict in my relationship, gave me a space to try out some very loud things, and was often a very underutilizes space by the other renters… I think I may have saved some money in a sense since I was able to be comfortable in a much smaller apartment, and keep my big speaker cabinets and stuff in a building with a grandfathered lease in the middle of an industrial area. So cheap rent, was also interesting chatting with some of the characters who stopped by.

As someone who has pretended to have read Althusser, (well read some, and had my friend who is a huge theory nerd give me a crash course) I would say hey, a lot of this stuff is more critique of the systems currently in place, a lot of it is worth engaging with if you don’t struggle reading it (I do), however just because theory is dense and academic doesn’t make it better, and certain things such as Deleuze is written in a pretty intentionally schizo style, if you want to take influence from reading theory that’s fine, but also engaging with people around you inside and outside your social circles is the best way to break out of any sort of echo chamber, relying on theory to try and define yourself instead of using theory as a stepping stone to praxis, and liberation from preconceived ideas and patterns of living superimposed upon us by the value systems that are the cornerstone of “western civ” … it’s pretty arrogant for marxists to dismiss anarchism based on the type of theory that they have read…

I’ve had issues where audio is embedded in the video file, and it needs to get muted, I had an issue once where something had a stereo delay effect on the audio and it got converted into mono and it sounded pretty terrible. When you have multiple tracks with similar slings it can get a little chaotic, if you have a bunch of tracks try seeing that there isn’t two stereo tracks getting summed to mono or anything, some programs treat stereo as two separate audio tracks, and each of those tracks can become out of phase with each other even to the point of producing an echo. This can especially happen if you think both audio clips have been moved to the beginning of the timeline or sequence but one of them is a little early or late, I once recorded an album where some of the tracks got moved over by accident as I was rendering everything and it messed up the timing of everything. Also if you have any processing on the audio, some programs don’t compensate for the processing delays properly.

Hearing about the perilous journey this insect makes, it’s life cycle, the way it’s being threatened etc in grade school, opened my eyes up to ecology, truly tragic the way industry & agrochemical pollution has threatened and destroyed so much life on earth.

Why not just get a few cheap burner phones? Or were you wanting another phones imei, Doing anything like that involves being able to access hardware in a pretty low level way. The tech forum on raddle is pretty small place, I know that people have been pretty successful doing this, but I don’t know the technical details, maybe check stockover flow to see if there’s any discussion, or read up on discussion about people setting up their own community cellular networks, Firmware modding etc,

We prefer the term post-leftist lmao you’re really lost if you think this a liberal or communist place, you’re really really lost if you think this is a free speech zone, you’re probably pretty unfamiliar with a lot of peoples ideas and justifications for their politics, to be posting in a way that you are guaranteed to be dragged…
