I mean he's not wrong. Even in a ton of popular online discussion on decolonization Irelands history is left out tremendously. Even politically active friends of mine will talk about the IRA but truly not have any idea of the troubles or the famine. My teacher even denied any possibility on the famine being a fault of the British.

definitely and that's the interesting stuff about this is there's alot of nuance to things. Especially in politics and direct action. I mean I'm of Irish decent. I definitely believe Irish should be whole. And if I was alive during the troubles I know I could have very well been swept into the ira. And I still believe the cause is just. But if I were to ever hurt a civilian. Even unintentionally I don't think I would ever be able to forgive myself.b
