I think anarchism has a huge loophole in that all we have to do to uphold a hierarchy is to say that it's justifiable. I think it's justifiable. There are other reasons, but to be p r a g m a t i c, it's deeply embedded in the current society's food production. It's crazy watching a vegan explain all the things they can't eat just because so many foods have an ingredient made from animal product. I don't necessarily see it as immoral, but your point of it being a deep state of denial does give me pause. I think when it comes down to it I simply haven't thought about it deeply and I don't care that much.
