My best friend works at one and knows I lift so he gave me all the inside info for his store. It's probably different for other stores, but he said if there are only a couple employees and one manager they're too understaffed to watch the cameras constantly, but they do record. Normally if they suspect something has been stolen they go back and look at the cameras, but as long as you're not acting sus af you should be fine. He also said they don't tag anything except maybe the perfume kept in glass cases, but he's not sure what's source tagged and what's not. I've lifted successfully from his store multiple times, and he steals cigarettes every once in a while. If the manager is in you're more likely to get caught.

I usually only take little things like candy or notebooks, food, vitamins, over the counter asthma meds, etc. The cameras freak me out (even when I know for a fact they're not being watched) which I like to take as a good sign that I'm not getting too cocky.

We don't have a uniform at my job and it's seriously freezing here. I'm only looking to take cash and small things that I find, so it would be easy enough to put the cash in my wallet and store small items in my bag inside my locker. My biggest worry is people being awake and hearing a car alarm go off.

I just picked up some fancy new art supplies and jewelry making stuff. My favorite is this goats leather sketchbook, it's great quality, lays flat, thick paper so I can use my markers without worrying about it soaking through. I also got the new httyd movie pretty recently. And a friend who works at w@lm@rt gave me some tips so I'm super pleased. I'm planning to pick up some film for my instax mini, a few movies, some new headphones and a portable charger, and some groceries this weekend. I now know what's tagged and what's not and how AP operates and which cameras actually work, all for these 2 specific stores.

Next time you go grocery shopping just put it on the bottom of the cart and go pay for your groceries. If you get caught you can just say "oh, I completely forgot about that! I'm so sorry." Happens to me with those big boxes of soda a lot. I put them down there to make room for groceries and forget they're there until I get to my car. Free soda lol.
