Haha thanks. If only the owner of the company wasn't a vindictive, petty multi millionaire, the management wasn't nepotistic and full kiss asses, and I wasn't running short staffed for the past seven months. "Le sigh"

I'm leaving care for a bit though, despite how much I love it. After this year, I've been so burnt out and overwhelmed with the pandemic and the treatment of healthcare staff. I'll come back eventually, but could really do something with less emotional labour.

I'd say overall fairly resigned. Like, I'm well aware that tech giants are a huge danger and always highly suspect, but Im not going to overly complicate my life securing myself from it.

I've become more careful over the past couple years. Deleted most of my socials outside Facebook, as it's just too interconnected with other aspects of my life like work and fam. Still use Gmail despite having tried other more secure emails. Pretty much use Firefox and Firefox extensions exclusively. Use YouTube a whole lot, and probably something I will not do without, though might try something like invidious soon. Hell without it, I'd probably have a tiktok account fml. Use duckduckgo.

Gaming wise, mostly pC on Microsoft windows, but now with a second hand Xbox one part of that ecosystem, as well as steam, but use GOG and ROMs on occasion.

Android on my fairphone.

Painted my nails for the first time ever, and while a bit anxious about it, got good responses from people at work who noticed it, so that's a plus!

Also, in this homebrew dnd campaign that I'm in, one of my party members accidentally released a demi-lich into the multiverse...so, yeah, a bit of an issue...but I'm sure we will manage...

It's finally getting sunny on this damnable misery island of wetness, so maybe I'll stop feeling as down as much.

I really like Lala Land.

Older wise, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas is a funny romp with Dolly Parton.

Going to be doing some courses through March to get an SIA license. Hopefully, it'll help me find a job after everything opens up again and I can leave care work for a while, absolutely burning out from it.

I like cider, especially rosé cider, but regular cloudy is alright too.

Rose wine is good, like me my pink moscato.

I've been getting into cherry bakwells a lot. It's amaretto with cherry juice/lemonade. So refreshing.

Whenever places open up again, I'll probably get back into my jager. Jagerbombs for life!!

Isn't this the nightmare scenario that masks were to prevent? Like, honestly, this is the most likely conclusion to what they have been doing.

In one sense I find it really funny, in a "we told you so" sort of way. Alas, it's tempered by the fact that he and his entourage have potentially infected thousands of vulnerable individuals.

Can one hope he will die of his own hubri?

I like the friendship of both dogs and cats, and have lived with one or the other most of my life, as well as giving my free time to shelters. The only thing I will say is that I can get rather sneezy with cats, but I'm willing to take a pill if they will be about.

I'm happy that they bring up those with dementia. As someone who works in a field where we assist those with dementia, I've seen this first-hand, though this is the first time I've seen a name put to it. And while we will do everything we can when they are declining all food and drink, in the end, it happens, and we make them as cozy as we can, and help their kin through it.

Though, whether those with dementia are capable of vountarily doing this is something that should be asked, and brings up issues of safeguarding, best interest, variable capability, dignity, neglect, etc.

With what you are asking, I like to think if my folks truly did want this, I would give them my time and help, though I dont know how well I would deal with the hardship of it.
