It's not about accessibility, it's about survivability. The planet is about to throw a screaming fit to get rid of us, and our best bet to outlast it is by holing up in the most stable place that we can find. The Grand Canyon is it as far as I know. Now, that's not to say that I'm ruling out other sites, but I am saying that there's a lot of requirements to meet. Natural food sources, fresh water, drainage, natural shelters and some kind of protected status by the local government to keep us from getting chased off to name a few. If you find anything suitable near you, please tell everyone that you can find and organize locally. If you can't raise a group of at least 50 people, I would sell most of what I have, and skip out on bills and rent that month and use that money to evacuate. I know that sounds drastic and maybe crazy, but with the way that things are going, it's going to be necessary very soon. I give it a year, tops, before a global recession triggers on its own.

I think that we don't have to physically fight yet. We're so interdependent and globalized that if enough people simply stop engaging with capitalism, it will crumble and take most governments with it. Sure, some will get ugly. But I'd rather deal with a severely weakened few rather than all of them at full strength. I've been preaching that we need to mass drop out of society and regroup in the Grand Canyon for a while now. It can work. It'll take some planning and fairly minor effort, but we can easily do it. Easier still is raising ducks and potatoes. All you need to keep ducks fed is duckweed, and all that needs to grow is any size pond and lots of piss.

Anyway, my main idea is to go full permaculture, based on what the Hopi say about how those native plants grow best, but I'm also planning to keep another group of crops growing hydroponically as a little bit of insurance, juuuuust in case we can't grow quite enough the good old fashioned way.

Yeah, it's the epitome of privilege, but it's true. As long as you have paperwork/ money, holy shit can you just do what the fuck ever you want. So, that's where this moment of brilliance shines through. We're not homeless, we're vacationing. And when we feel refreshed enough to return back to society, then we will do so. i.e. You need us way more than we need you, and good luck finding help without us. That way, we've set up our public perception and behavior from the very beginning in the right way. No aggression at all, but fully ready to fight back. Leave us alone; you can't force us to work for you, one way or another.

Oh ho, but! There's a seed vault there that contains primarily southwestern food crops which the Hopi have been utilizing for thousands of years. They have been known to be fairly peaceful with visitors, so I think that as long as we stay polite and respectful that they'll be mostly ok with teaching us ways to survive.

I have exactly the thing. We simply do a giant migrant caravan from capitalism. We encourage everybody who is so tired and broken up about the lives that we have now, to go camping indefinitely at the Grand Canyon. It's been postulated that if 10% of the global workforce said, "Fuck you, I quit!", and completely left the workforce, it would trigger a global recession. That sort of shit could ruin a lot more than a country. So, that's what I'm pushing for. We plan, we get permits, we arm up, we stock up, and in about 3-6 months, we're on strike from the world at large. The easiest way for this is a roster, massive outreach messages, and a resource pool, where our comrades that have more than they need at the moment can help others in our group. If everybody is seriously preparing for life away from the way things are right now, then we need to push that people actually adopt a different lifestyle that is actually balanced with our planet and gives us community and purpose. We can do it, we just need to actually get faith in something and convince everyone around ourselves to just take a big step away from the world that is going to kill them and into one that will save them. That's it. No malice, no government overthrow, just a long vacation until we get a new society up and running. We can do it, especially in this day and age. We're global. We can help people escape what they have now and join us somewhere else in almost no time comparatively, and when this happens, the system will crumble and have no one to lash out at. It doesn't even have to be in one place either! We could do this all across the globe for as long as we need to.
