Hey. Happy you are having success but never think it is easy. There is a YouTube video of a guy saying how to spot LP and everyone jokes on the guy because he pretty much says everyone is LP. But really a healthy level of paranoia can be the difference between getting caught and getting out successfully. Obviously it can't be to a debilitating level but pretty much assume anyone is a bootlicker and will run and tell if they suspect anything.

Anyways I have had lots of luck using a stack of the little Nickel sized magnets you can get from HD for pencil tags and a lot of ink tags at the likes of JCP.

Stay safe out there. You never know when some moron is going to think the company paying them minimum wage is their friend.

Yeah. I have read quite a bit in regards to their use of facial recognition technology. I know that they actually had a lawsuit filed against them in one state.

A lot of Pigs use their squad cars illegally to drive around doing personal errands. I hate it too. I hate seeing a white Dodge Charger because it gives me anxiety.

Most likely just a pig driving around on our tax dollars.

Thanks to everyone for the support. Like I said I was just really upset with myself for missing it. It happens to the best of us which is why we can never let our guard down.

Dang a bunch of people on here have had really bad luck. A normal associate can only do a no receipt return for $50 and under but a manager can override it.

It is going to depend on the item though. So high theft items are less likely to be returned. In my experience Wal-Mart in more rural areas are easier to do returns at.

I didn't say that none do. I simply said that I could personally not imagine caring. I know some do. As I have been burned from a dollar store before because I had some difficulty while concealing.

Yeah. I have a couple dollar general stores I like to lift from. Normally just the essentials but occasionally something to sell.

I personally can't imagine being an employee making little more than minimum wage and caring about theft. Even management doesn't make that much. I agree with the others though if you have someone at a store who wants you consider it burned. Just not worth the risk if they were to try and involve actual police.

I don't think Lowes uses Alpha brand security tags. I don't personally have any experience with the turtle tags but from what I have seen you could theoretically cut the banding but the tag itself alarms just from being jarred even ever so slightly. So actually deactivating it is your best bet.

I do repeat I have no personal experience with the turtle tags but I have seen videos of people in stores just moving boxes secured with them and them sounding.

Yeah someone made a post a few days ago about those. As he wanted to cut something off of a locked hanger.

But those cameras make no since to me. I mean okay how many people walk through that area every day and look at stuff pick it up examine it and potentially purchase it. I mean yeah if someone cuts something from a locked hanger that will catch them but typically you are going to grab the item and walk elsewhere in the store.

Regardless be careful as HD has been in the news lately regarding shoplifting. Also most stuff worth lifting to resell is going to be source tagged so be careful with just walking out.

I have done a walkout like that at a Kroger back in the day.

Only real bad thing about it is say they do see you and the store allows confrontation you are going to be there for a minute at your vehicle putting each individual in your vehicle.

All of that stuff is normally attached to the actual cable with different alpha locks.

I am glad you had good luck today but never get that mindset. You can lift the same thing 10 times and get caught on the 11th. There are too many different factors at play. Some of which even the best and most seasoned of lifters have no control over.

Yeah I am not like some on here. Meaning I am not big on Black Friday lifting. I normally actually go and spend a little bit of money on Thanksgiving night Black Friday morning. Bigger stuff I am not comfortable trying to lift.

But yeah at both Wal-Mart and Target there were cops outside. Cruisers parked on the sidewalk and they even had police checking receipts at one of the exits. Wal-Mart had their bathroom taped off so you couldn't enter it. Anyways I hope everyone who braved it was safe and successful.

I had considered doing something similar to this using a prepaid card. Never have but I have read both that it does and doesn't work. You probably just have to have so much money on your card. Then empty the card after doing the rental.

Sorry to burst your bubble but typically it doesn't work that way. Even stuff like $40 that has no RFID you will have difficulty reselling because people don't mind paying the $40 in store for it. I know from experience unfortunately.

Nice work. HD I am assuming, they have better stuff then Lowes. Really wish I knew how to do some minor electrical work. I need to do some myself.

HD is hard to dispose of opened packages. Any ideas I would love to hear some input.

Oh and Wal-Mart also makes new employees watch an anti union training video. Even when the staff is short they don't allow for overtime. At least in my experience they prefer the store to not be properly stocked and staffed than to let someone get a few extra dollars on their check.

As you said you are broke. So you should be eligible for a public defender.

My best advice I can give to someone in your situation is call the office back and find out what they want. I have been in your situation before to an extent.

Unfortunately stuff like this won't just go away and be forgotten about. So for me personally I prefer to just go ahead and take care of it. Whatever you do though keep your mouth shut. Exercise your right to remain silent.

Hopefully you can talk to a public defender or something.

Yeah it is even worse this time of year when sometimes they have days where that is there goal catch shoplifters.

I have seen it on the news in my area. The worst thing about it is that with LP working directly with the police to apprehend shoplifters the chance of a warning or something is pretty much out the door even if it is an extremely small petty amount of goods.

You are good man. I know the paranoia and it absolutely sucks but you weren't confronted in the store and didn't do anything to act guilty.

The worry will pass. I lift on a regular basis and still have those feelings anytime after something doesn't go according to plan.

I recently posted about a bad experience at Wal-Mart myself. I think paranoia is perfectly normal and rational. At least anytime after things don't go according to plan.

With something like that I really feel like had they been onto you they would have stopped you then and there.
