One day i before I was confident in lifting I was using the self checkout. It was christmas and so busy my card was declined. I didnt notice I grabbed the receipt and left..realized when I got home. So i tried it again with a large amount of groceries. I dressed like a professional office type, had my ear piece talking on the phone in the self checkout. (Omce it's in payment mode the sensors are off. So I loaded my cart before paying) I watched for the self checkout employee to handle another customer. Did my declined card thing and walked out. Someone approached me while unloading, played dumb and apologized. I'd be right back in. 'Is it okay if I leave my groceries in my car?" They said yes. He walked away while I was loading up. So I drove away. (This is canada tho might be very different elsewhere)

About 80-90%. Before lifting being on disability I couldn't afford much, and used the local food bank. It was very hard to access fresh healthy foods for my child, I got fed up and started walkouts. The first time of having a variety of fruit and cheese was a party in my house.

This could work as long as you are quick and won't go back in a while. Possible they could check cameras afterwards. I've never tried this method before. Typically I will ask for my size in about 3 or 4 different pairs. Take my time trying them on and browsing. When I see the opportunity I put the shoes I want in my bag and leave the pile of boxes/shoes in a pile. This of course works only when it's really busy.

My friend works there, optometry, good court and the tire shop you can enter without a card. They have a no chase policy. Just watch you on camera and follow you. The side door has a 30 second delay. Most lifters panic, drop their shit and leave.

Thats what im trying to figure out. This guy brought be his own bag to alter. So I charged him 40$ as it was fairly easy and quick. Ive started to research which bags are popular for men, then see if I could lift them. The leather ones are pretty pricy to begin with. I wonder if I could start out with lower end satchels if I cant lift them, or custom orders...For ladies bags I have an extensive collection Im working on. But thanks for that idea, I dont know why I didn't think of that.

Wow you sound bitter. there is a possibility of a young male that doesnt look sus. I was a teeange mowhawk goth kid attempting to lift, so I know where youre coming from and didnt whine about it. Get a haircut, nice clothes and figure it out kid.

I had the same experience today. Still coming down off the feels. Was in payless, with my ridiculously strong hands i was able to tear the tag of some rain boots. It made a loud click and a staff person followed me around an aisle. Can i help you? No im good. You left some shoes out you didnt want them? Excuse me... boy i booked it out of there. Went out an entrance on the complete other side where i was parked. Ive never had a close call like this. Stay safe and smart for next time around.

In canada Ive never seen this, people just turn and watch as lp tried to catch these people. I have seen a few homeless types taking from smaller stores/dine and dash. They usually get taken in the back to have their asses kicked and left there as most cops wont do much about it. Id be terrified to lift in the US. People legally carrying guns in public is enough for me to blend in and not fuck around. Police posting pictures on their facebook.... All of it is just scary.

Where i live they are always behind a curtain. I lifted once as the clerk brought them out. I was about to pay and a drunken hobo in the store knocked a bunch of shit over and was yelling. This distracted the employee and I took the opportunity and left with the ciggies. Maybe this method could work if you had an accomplice to create a distraction.
