A few 1000 connections isn't much for a proxy repeating the same content - it is a lot for a server running indexing and queries.

Edit: I just realised I read it wrong, the problem is Mastodon DDoS on random web hosts, not on other Federated hosts... I still think proxy caching would be key, with only the initial linking instance fetching the content.

I just noticed I have read stuff by you before, I even quoted you last time I discussed PLW...

I'd probably happily read the text, I don't have any contempt for wanting sell your work, but you're going about things the wrong way for raddle.

It's funny how much effort you lot put into immortalizing Ted.

Yesterday I lost my car keys, and had left my phone and wallet in my car.

I spent 5 hours looking for the keys, before getting them return via a nearby cafe.

I had strongly been considering just living there, there was a tree which was dropping some sort of nut type thing that looked like a small pineapple, but looks fibrous like a coconut - possibly banana related. I was going to gather them up to take but wanted to wait until night time, so I didn't have people staring, but then I forgot. I don't think they would have tasted nice.

I had Appendicitis when I was young, so I don't really remember it, besides vomiting lots and being in a lot of pain.

But my recovery in hospital was awesome, a week playing Donkey Kong on Super Nintendo and watching movies.

I had a room by myself, but got moved because I was scared of being alone in the dark.

I haven't read what was said, but I just want to add, in most bad relationships there is a large element of both sides being in the wrong. It may not be equal, but things can look different from different perspectives.

I think this point is likely the point of contention.

We're all messy, none of us live up to our own expectations, no one side is ever pure and right... We're just "human" or whatever.

Well as long as you enjoy it.

It seems weird to me, but I'm weird as.

Doom scrolling just leaves me angry with myself, what I could have done instead, but that's my decision to feel it is a waste, so I don't judge you for enjoying it.

I've found reading to be a better choice, for the same movement on my phone... But I know that there are other activities I don't do that I'd probably enjoy more.

So don't feel bad for enjoying what you like, and don't feel bad for feeling angry.

Breathing Exercises and Walking in Nature are not an end in and of themselves, they are just useful for getting your mind into the present moment, rather than pondering ones memories or creating non-existent futures.

If you're trying to stop an emotion because it is "bad", then you'll always end up angry. Having emotions without judging yourself is useful for getting to an emotional state that you control, anger can be useful.

Apologies if this seems like preaching, or trying to push something on you.

I really like this.

Words are signifiers for communication of things, but they're not things.

To state one's named identity is to provide the key to control over ones self.

Edit: *the key for another to control them.

I imagine that eventually it'll somewhat re-centralise onto a bunch of corporate owned servers which provides a jump point for government sponsored propaganda, but also providing a mechanism to remove any servers which start promoting material outside the perspective of liberalism.
