I know for new releases Target usually has a bunch out in alphas that I would imagine are inventoried (for example Kingdom Hearts most recently)? Do you guys care or check the clearance video games in the alphas as much?

And another Black Friday question: When I selected a "Free" game system (xbox/ps4/switch) from the pallet, there was definitely a Target LP on watch, was the plan to track all systems to sale?

For sure, its just that clearly an PS4 Pro gone missing from a box under a Christmas tree is a pretty obvious loss and with all that foot traffic it seems like a lot of work to figure out which idiot put that present under there.

Related question: how exact do you inventory the video games / promo items (like the Google Hub in 2018) to match sales = stock?

I was mostly talking specifically about Black Thursday as that is the only time I feel the risk worth the reward, but not quite professional enough to leave no trace. Like say I concealed a Google Hub ($150 item) during the rush and left the box.... would that spark a post-black-Friday work order? (like do they store all holiday footage until all large item thefts are identified)

That's what I figured, I was just wondering how many losses get logged/filed/input into the database. Like if I opened up a medium value electronics (~$100-$300) and left the packaging in Toys, would it be high priority to identify the offender?

Ahh, I just noticed some new ones right above the nerf section cantilevered out of the top shelf, which was a bit surprising since the lego section only had a high celling one.

Also, how many regular non-homeless lifters do you have, or at least have identified? Like there is a BOLO, but 75% of the time they don't steal anything but still traverse the entire store including the high shrink sections and select stuff but either leave it in the cart or on a random shelf before checking out?
