I asked the register kid where to go for store pickup, far back of store of course, left counter and basketed a cricut that was out on the floor stacked with others for some reason (the only time I have seen it like that to this day) and made a calm but quick loop around the store and waived at the cashier on my way out. He was helping a customer so didn't notice anywway but man was that a rush! I still shop there too.

Love the idea, have you looked into the paper crafting punches? They are in so many shapes and sizes and much cheaper but having the Cricut should pay for itself in time. If you can take the time for it, make t-shirts to sell online? The vinyl is a breeze to lift and your options are unlimited then just a bit restricted by time and patience with orders. Custome design your own cups, keyhains, anything to that effect and advertise it around town. You may be able to build up a small clientele both on fb and locally in town. I'm not sure how helpful that may be for you but just thought I'd throw you a couple ideas that came to mind reading. Good luck! Update to share how it goes. :)

Real f-ckin nice way to kick a b-tch while she's down. If you even have a man with that classy ass mouth....and toward someone you don't even know. Yeah I've seen where you've talked about your husband, so if he is real, he's gotta be what... a hell of a Masochist? But yeah, thanks Trashy the Troll. Now go f-ck yourself ~

A good safer way and with privacy is Marshalls, Ross, and those type of stores that count your items. if you bring in old clothes and swap them on the hangers, the count will always come out right. Follow your instincts. The more you become aware of the store and associates, you'll reach a 'relaxed' state because you can tell who dgaf and who does and what times are good to go....just don't get too relaxed. Once you get started, you'll get the hang of it. Also, not at all trying to be insensitive but realistically you may consider using your illness to your advantage in a situation where you are caught. I'm sure the effectiveness would highly depend on where you are ans circumstances of course but if your illness is legit, may as well make it beneficial to you in some way. But also, like they've already said, try to wait it out a bit longer for this Covid ordeal to subside. Be safe, be aware, and good luck!

So much for "avoid moralizing" ..... Every action we take has a reaction and even screwing over a corp in a small way will trickle down and impact individuals on some level. At least the other party is getting something for their money whereas in shoplifting, there is no exchange. An item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I, for one, would find many other alternatives to TP if I were put into a situation where I could not find it rather than pay insane prices. If your morals are so damned righteous then what are you doing here? And you, Loserdub, not knowing me for shit, are wrong about your callous assumption regarding my 'having them all (vaccines) and raising the prices" so gtfo of my face with that shit.

Seriously? The line for morality drawn at TP....a product that is NOT a necessity such as medication. Jesus what a joke. Guess I should just stick with completely lifting, taking all I can without leaving ANYTHING in return .... lmao

Ok so the day came where I went from 4 or so down to 0 so I went in search of more just to find out whale fart clearanced them out. Luckily I found them again so if anyone is interested......you'll have to get creative not pay because they're available online at MagnetPAL.com and Amazon.com and run about $13 for 1 or the holiday special is 2 for $20 so thats a no brainer. I like to have many of these as they are tricky and escape easily attaching to anything is can get. Total shit to put on your keys also. Nrthrn Tool now shows they carry them online to order and pick up in store I think. Hard to believe such a simple yet unique little magnet like this is exclusively made/available by one company but there you are if you guys want one.

If anyone else has one, what is the material wrapped around it? It feels thick like rubber but is also I think helping to form the flux forcing all the strength out of only the exposed bottom....

I keep my S3, hook, and this (easily replaces a golf magnet on many things) for minimal carry and even then not all are needed in every store. : )

Hopefully you are pushing it all the way in to the hilt? Once in, if no success still, wiggle slowly as though you're trying to get the tip to press left or right if that makes sense. I hold it against my chest and after it's in I turn it slightly to get the tip to press anything around it but can't properly explain the schematics here. Sorry Just make sure its all the way in and slowly move to manipulate the tip left and right while inside. Good luck!

I figure for many that a Faraday bag would be a go to 1st. I would try with one. If that was a no go then an EMP or EMF type of device maybe... to temporarily disrupt by pushing a button basically. I have read a few tutorials on esay to make handheld disruptors but honestly do not believe theyd be strong enough to be effective. These things are hardly more than toys to play with and all I've seen is a cell phone turn off as a prank so lol pretty lame. Trying to break it, btw, would still draw attn I'd imagine from the conceal to go break right? In any case, I'm sure these disruptor devices do exist on a higher scale to meet our needs no doubt BUT I'm thinking the strength would be unstable and overall rate of success/fail too unpredictable. All of that being said is in the essence these conceal activated devices are out there as I have not dealt with anything like it yet. I'll finish my nonsensical babbling now, so tired I feel like I barely make sense >.< ......but really would love to hear more peoples' thoughts on this for sure.

Had this happen to me upon entering a neighborhood market forgetting they were on me. No one paid attn. I had my magnets on me so I assumed that is what set off the weird alarms but hadn't heard anything yet. I had no plans to lift here as this was the (very recently renovated) most upgraded secure wally NhoodMkt I'd ever seen with swinging gates, damn near all beauty/pharm in glass cases requiring an assoc to unlock, and a lot of cameras. I ended up just walking back to car to leave mags and no sounds went off upon re-entering.

Sorry for length here, this just happened. While shopping one morning at WM, I carefully re-selected an item that i had purchased about one and a half months ago with the intentions of returning it once I had been in store shopping with it for a long time, store got busier, and I completed my legit checkout. Having done this before, rarely and when in need, and never had any issues. Upon checkout, I realize that I had left the receipt in the car. Not thinking for whatever reason, I figured I'd drop off groceries and come back in with receipt and item. Door greeter stopped me and of course went to scan that item and as I explained the item was being returned and that I just forgot to grab my receipt, she (a high strung overly anxious woman) was quickly on the walkie calling CSM, a man's name who later turns out to be LP, etc. and others for help. All the while she's grabbing this medium size box as though to protect it with her life from me. I really shouldn't have stopped. I have never NOT stopped but I digress. I was able to drop off my stuff at the car and I drove to the door I exited and parked to come back inside with the receipt (I know better, this is a total smh idea) hoping they weren't watching me on video selecting the item but my stupidity is somewhat limited luckily so I was pretty keen on what was most likely happening since no LP was around and another assoc was quick to leave door when I pulled up leaving only the crazy door greeter lady. This loon tells me to give her my receipt and I look at her like she's lost her mind before I ask where the item was. She replies, telling me its in customer service and insists on my receipt and I asked how that was going to work. She says that she'll scan my receipt and then walk to customer service to scan the item and by this time I thought f*ck this and gave her THAT look right before I just turned to head to cs counter and left her there.

The Customer service lady takes my receipt, has that look like she knows a lot more than I do and of course, I started to feel nervous but stayed calm. The LP guy came and took the item and receipt and disappeared and left me there to wait. I told the lady I had to leave as I had been shopping fairly long already and had things to get to but I was very calm and polite. She called the LP (she picked up the phone as though he was just on hold because she only hit like one button?! and began to tell him, "She wants to leave" trying to be quiet but making me aware I was undoubtedly suspect. She kept saying "Oh he's only say one minute, he'll be here." I got this response again when showing slight concern for my car, When I had pulled up to the door, I didn't think I'd have to get out for long but there I was, at cs counter while car was in a clear tow away zone. Luckily, it was about 7am with shit weather, and not many shoppers were there yet. After more than enough time had passed and I could tell it was def NOT going to go any good way, I said I'll brb to the cs agent as though to go to the restroom and just walked straight to my car and calmly left.

This is the closest I have ever been to being "caught" or facing big trouble really. I'm your average typical looking housewife and always dress nice, but not too nice because I aim not to stand out. I don't ever act sketchy, weird, or go overboard so I generally don't deal with issues but wondering how far this will go...

That being said, since you worked at WM, could you tell me 1) How close I came to a face to face chat with police 2) Am I safe to return to other WM's in the area without being watched? 3) What sort of process/measures is taken to notify other stores or is there a specific procedure for this scenario? I have no plans to return to that location for at least a year but will need to go to a WM eventually down the road I imagine. Any info/advice regarding this is very appreciated, thank you!

I think they are stupid and only going to really maybe make it more difficult for runners but I notice now with the store that have them, I set off a weird sounding alarm upon entering that I'm 100% sure is my magnets/tools. Super sucks. No one even pays attn though that I know of so idk.

I've only tried, successfully twice, at a certain store where I live that uses those stupid black deep fabric carts with a hook for your purse. Hate to admit they are very useful in this situation. If where youre trying to lift doesn't have these I'd find a place that does. Wear a heavy or larger coat (It's a good time for it unless your way west or or south) and take it off if possible right at the door before youre inside and hold it in your arms as though something (like a purse) is right underneath it. Grab a cart and put the coat and "purse" into the part of the cart where you would normally put your purse making sure the coat is placed in a way that would suggest it's simply covered. Go to purse area and browse naturally and pick up and put down a cpl purses before picking up the one you want and slowly moving or turning from view of camera and toss it in. Make a bee line to clothes sale/clearance area to look legit, and carefully but quickly toss in 3-4 things to cover purse and give you a reason to go to fitting room. Where I live, these are always unmanned so again there's a plus. Once there I quickly grab up items with purse halfway hidden tagged side pressed against body out of view to the point any onlooker would just assume it was my purse. Hell, sometimes I just push the whole damn cart in with me but try not to in order to avoid attn. I see many people bring theirs in this fitting room hall so it's not uncommon. From there I remove tag. DO NOT ever remove stuffing inside and leave in dressing room. Total guarantee videos from camera footage will be watched. Keep it your only lift if you can at that time and also try to purchase something if possible to appear legit still and then as you exit, walk out with purse on arm maybe at elbow level with coat draped over and get your groove on down the road and remember ....not to hit your head on the door from growing a few ft taller on the way out Girl Boss. Hope that helps, wish you the best of luck and remember to act natural. You got this

I wonder about this too where I love it's in abundance so I often get paranoid. Has anyone heard of hidden smaller cams ever? Is that legal/illegal in certain states? I check on glassdoor and other similar sites to see who's hiring for LP and AP but hasn't been very helpful. Anyway good job on the haul, epic af ;)

Small town? I hope you find that snitch and kick her ass. She must have been really young or really old because most would rather not say shit, especially if it were to HELP let alone HURT. But yeah....hope you kick her ass one day. If you do, please begin to walk away when finished but then stop, turn and point at her and say, "You KNOW why!" and carry on. :P Lay low for a while and if you decide to venture on in lifting I'm sure you'll be more than careful. I personally conceal so fast into my purse that if someone were to walk by, they'd not know what or even if I was concealing but I'd probably wait for them to be long gone before I calmly ditch my cart and take the least resisted, fastest way to the exit. Another tip that might help a little is to try and ALWAYS have an "excuse" or convincing "Innocent oops" prepared in the event you are caught and stick with it. They really cant do much if you just didn't realize that as you got distracted shopping that you decided to stop carrying your purse on your shoulder and put it in the cart, accidentally, right on top of some items placed in the child seat thus concealing them.....Keep your head up and good luck to you in the future.
