MtG cards used to be gold to steal. Now it's just so much harder to swipe. Appreciate your great advice.
Reply to have police ever shown up at your door?? by anonowl
Some cop showed up at my previous address and gave the landlord a business card. I got a call from the former roommate telling me don't come back to visit him, because they had been looking for me. That was sometime after I swiped a laptop from Best Buy.

Bye Felicia, nobody missed ya. Send me an address to your tomb so I can shit on it.
Cellebrite tools were leaked online not long ago. Old news. I've been using them leaked tools to mess with my phones.
Tip: If your phone isn't turned off when it was confiscated, no matter if it was encrypted, people still able to access your data. This ain't rocket science, these techniques have been known from dawn of smartphone. Ask any store that sell stolen phones and they'll show you that you never needed expert to crack. There are several way they can crack or bypass the lock screen:
Pass-the-hash - layman: when ur lock screen is on, the hash of the pass code/touch id/etc is buffered in the memory. What you can do is dump the hash from memory and crack using pass-the-hash attack. Same shit on any device. https://ios7hash.derson.us/
Bruteforcing - sure, you can set how many time until your phone locked when passcode was bruteforced. But there are many exploits in the wild allowing you to continue the bruteforce without phone locking out. https://twitter.com/hackerfantastic/status/1010631766087032832
Moral of the story: use passphrase, encrypt your shit, turn it off when cops came, no PIN, biometric or other bullshit.

There is no shame in surviving. Do what you must do to get foods on the table. There is no such thing as ethical consumption under capitalism. You are actually helping people more than your school principal ever did.

It's my portable life support. Stealing people's wifi, carjacking, traffic sniffing, card cloning, etc. Flashed with Lineage OS. When I'm not using it, I wrap the phone with tin foil to block all comm.

Stay away from that store for at least 6 months.

We all shoplift for survival, don't worry about it. I mean, there might be still some kleptomaniac like me, but we steal so we can make another day. There is no good or bad in doing it or quitting it.
Thank you for your invaluable advice and tips have been given to this community. :)
What happened to using burner number? Change that number just to be safe. It is possible for store to look up your caller's info and trace back to you. There are free and paid services allow you to find info on owner.
But I doubt they'd do anything if you only steal 60. They probably tried to scare you from coming back so just change the number.

What's the equivalence of Shopper Drug's Mart down in US? They usually have that shit in the front. I'd do it the primitive way, wrap that shit carefully in aluminum foil

Can you give a comrade a tip or two on swiping electronics. Thanks. I'm a kelpto too but not the same level as you. (side note I've been hoarding stolen license plates)

Yeah usually bringing back stuff gone bad would get your refund for something else. That trick used to work for me, I'd lift cheap stuff from other store then bring into high end grocery store and get cash back.
Or the old receipt trick that you found it somewhere in the store that people thrown out, take the items and give it to the manager for refund. Not sure it works now.

I lifted few coats while back that didn't fit me, and donated to the shelter. I mostly lift foods, and donate fair share of them to food bank.

Shoplifting is never terrible. It's a mean of survival. We do what we do because we gotta survive.
