Minnesota Gray Wolf populations have been rising as well. Last year they almost had a hunt. I'm sure someone will decide and try again this year because capitalism.

I agree (enough that I posted in this forum), but its also a kind of ironic and sad agreement since this 'good news' is because popular animals like wolves and rhinos often get a lot of conservation attention and funding, and this obscures the fact that biodiversity is being destroyed and that animals who aren't beloved are going extinct at a rapid pace.

Yeah there are so many animals that are important for the survival of the ecosystem at large that are going completely missing. It's all so much more complicated than mere predators and prey.
