am i right in thinking that:

  • the connection between a Tor client and a Tor hidden service is end-to-end encrypted;
  • the service's identity is verified by its public key, the hash of which is also the service address (abc123.onion);
  • the level of encryption and authentication provided is equivalent to TLS, so TLS is not required for hidden services
