I find it interesting too. i have had to clean up and totally turn around a project that were run into the ground by cliquish white postleftists, who were too invested in using ideology as a social buttress for their in group to really operate the endeavor effectively, and who just walked away and handed it off to people who were not equipped to salvage it on their own and had now to deal with the reputation of being "cliquish", which was highly detrimental to the project. At this point, years later this project finally has legs again, but it was due only to the tirekess work of mostly me and a small group of other people doing almost everything.

It was nowhere near as extreme as the behavior ive seen on raddle, more neglect than active abuse, but the prioritization of social power and within the in group over the purpose and goals of the overall project is a common thread. If youre not careful, a rogue yarn unravels the whole sweater.
