The Writings of Austin Osman Spare en.wikipedia.org

Submitted by 9eyes in readingclub

I just received my copy of The Writings of Austin Osman Spare which includes Anathema of Zos, The Book of Pleasure and The Focus of Life. So far, I've only read The Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey and I absoloutely enjoyed it. It's an interesting read and I certainly agreed with a lot of what he has to say. I was interested in picking up this book because I'm very interested in the study of Chaos Magic. It aligns with my philosophy and personality. I believe the free will of one's self is paramount over any other. I would love to get anyone elses perspective of either the book or it's philosophy and the Occult in general. I'm a beginner so I'm interested in reading as many books as I can get my hands on. I also understand that Occult books themselves are not the end all be all, it's a much vaster subject but this is certainly a good place to start I think.
