This document was updated on November 16, 2019 to update the link to the Postmill git. A few redundant words were removed from the content policy e.g. "misogyny or patriarchy" was changed to simply "misogyny". The following text was added to the moderator enforcement section: "Warnings or temporary bans are recommended for minor offences if the user is participating in good faith. Permanent bans are recommended if the user has displayed a continued pattern of bigotry."

aren't they covered by transphobia and age discrimination?

There are non binary identifying, gender nonconforming, and other people who explicitly don't identify as trans, but aren't cis identifying or passing either. There's already, as I'm sure you already know, a lot of erasure of these populations/individuals, so it's good to keep language that might make more people feel included in the statement of principles like a Terms of Service. But I don't want to speak on behalf of people, I am a trans woman so I'm not one of the people I refer to. Just thought it might be a good thing to voice in conversation, because I know firsthand how exhausting it is to constantly have to advocate for yourself in social situations, and I'm sure none of us want queer comrades to feel that way here.
I also don't think your changes aren't in bad faith at all, I think it is valid to want the terms of service to be as simple/concise as possible, to improve accessibility.

what if I change homophobia to queerphobia or a similar term? I don't think patriarchy is an effective word if we want to advocate for non trans-identifying non-cis people.

You're right, I think that would be better and more all-encompassing too. It may also be good to have a spot in the wiki where these terms are defined as used in the document, if it does not exist already, so that there is no confusion by new users. I could get to that if it needs done

Sure go ahead and I'll link to it in the tos

I only got to a few, and I would appreciate editing oversight and input of multiple people as there's a lot to cover. Sources and citations would be great to add eventually, as well.

Ok. Start a new thread asking for input from the others because this one is older than 24 hours now.

could be argued that sexist insults directed towards men (ie."dont be a pussy", man up", etc.) isn't covered by misogyny.

I don't see how those aren't still covered by misogyny. One has a misogynistic slur in it and the other makes the case that men are strong (and women are weak).

well, there are other people besides women who are affected by patriarchy. I would roll back that particular elision, imo.
