I'd make it so posts with comments stay on the front page for 2 or 3 days instead of just 1. Whenever I link people to the site, if the front page is nothing but links with no comments like today, they say the site looks abandoned and then they won't ever give it a chance beyond that first impression. They certainly won't stay long enough to figure out they need to click "most commented" to see convos.

I have anxiety all the time because I feel if I don't start conversations, everyone will declare the site is dead.

I wish I knew how to code and could clone myself and dedicate one of my clones to postmill. They could take breaks to eat and sleep and to fuck my other clones.

If someone provides an MS Paint mockup of how this feature should work, and the idea is good, then I will implement it.

Ok. Btw, when we temp ban a user, do they get a msg saying how long they're banned for? If not then they'll assume it's a permaban and never log in again.

Nope.

Do they get the message if we reply to their offending comment/post explaining their ban?

That's what I usually do.

Not necessarily. Banned users aren't logged out, but can never log in again.

If you ban someone, your expectation should be that they are, in fact, banned.

Edit: I think it's worth it to start a new thread to discuss bans, how they work, how they should work, and what purpose they should serve.

I think the ban prevents them from seeing their inbox? Idk I'd have to test.
