I think it was me who did it last time. What's special about the IP?

It causes the .onion to break, since every request via the .onion originates from that IP.

Lol I'm sorry I wasn't meaning to be a jerk, it's just funny if you work with routers/networks a lot. 127.0.0.1 is localhost, it's the system's connection to the network. If the server bans localhost, it will cause it to be unable to communicate with the internet, which causes predictably unpredictable consequences

I didn't think you were being a jerk. I just don't know anything about this stuff. Fortunately the site didn't break and we got rid of the racist who was creating a troll army.

It only broke the onion domain, I saw several users complain about it.

it really only affects the onion address, banning the IP wouldn''t cut the server off or anything.

Oh yeah, I forget Raddle has a clearnet service. Lol

What seems to be the proportion of people using clearnet vs hidden service? lurkers, regulars, occasional posters? I'd be fascinated to learn more about how people use the site tbh

we have no statistics like that because we don't track

Lol fuck

I wish tracking wasn't inherently a vulnerability to the community. If the markets for personal data/state sanctions did not exist, it would not be a concern in the same way i don't think
