How should the featured forums be determined? Should there be a limit to how many are put on the list? Should any be added/removed from the current list?

I think /f/newforums should stay featured, it might not be the most active one but if there's a new forum it would be nice to have an announcement in featured.

There's actually a good argument to be made that f/socialism should be removed, since it has more 4 month old posts on the first page than most of the other forums I suggested removing.

There are 46 right now, I think it's a little too big and should be cut down to 40.

I'd cut out:

f/SyrianCivilWar (hasn't been active for a while - 4 month old posts on page 1)

f/readingclub (pretty much died on the vine)

f/Decolonisation (barely used - 5 month old posts on page 1)

f/Healthcare (barely used - 4 month old posts on page 1)

f/Blackness (barely used - 3 month old posts on page 1 - and we already have f/poc and f/race on the list)

f/newforums (barely used and at this point there are few new forums that serve much of a purpose)

I wouldn't want to remove f/Blackness or f/Decolonisation - I think they're both important towards giving people who visit a sense that this is a place for them. I also don't think that how often a place gets posts should determine its importance, since that will just tend to conserve the values of the space instead of open it up to new ones.

Why was f/Decolonisation selected but not f/indigenous when the later serves a similar purpose but is older and much busier?

I wonder if the reason f/Decolonisation has more subscribers than f/indigenous is because it's featured.

I'd also remove f/graffiti (since we already have the busier general forum f/art on the list) and f/worker (the closely related f/socialism is more active with comments - but still pretty dead with 4 month old posts on page 1) and replace them with f/media and f/games which are both very general forums and what you'd expect to see on a list of defaults.

Someone should add f/graffiti to f/art's sidebar tho and f/worker to f/socialism's sidebar.
