It's was super strange what happened, /u/surreal and I figured out that a backup (snapshot) I made of the site the other day somehow got seen by tor as the de-facto raddle site, and the onion started linking to the backup instead, which is on another server and was non reachable via clearnet.

It's back up and running now:

Big thanks to surreal for spending all their sunday on this.

As u/surreal gets more familiarized with the setup these minor issues will be resolved much quicker. Are you using a host provided backup solution? Personally, considering on Linux everything exists at the file level, why not just set up a cronjob to fire a bash script using rsync for daily backups for seven days, one weekly, and one monthly, of all necessary configs, web server, db, and site level files?

Both. Daily backups to my PC, less frequent host-provided backups to a server.

The snapshot was separate from the other backups, I made it to tinker with postmill.

I've been using the onion all day, and I didn't notice downtime. But thanks for your work! :)

That's odd. It's been down for 3 days.

oh yea? I exclusively connect by onion and I think there was maybe 20 min of downtime that I noticed. I haven't been on 100% of the time, but this is at least for the many times I've connected.

We're going to use the backup site to pull postmill 1.0 to make sure nothing goes wrong before we pull it here.
