Wanting women-only spaces is not transphobic. Wanting women-only spaces does not condone violence against trans people.
~kretek link

You would keep that.

You would let the person who posted that continue being a community member.

You are supporting violence against trans women and have absolutely no right to moderate /f/trans.

Go fuck yourself.

You shouldn't allow that rhetoric anywhere. It should not have a platform here.

To be clear i am not suggesting you should be banned or stripped of all moderation. just /f/trans. we have a lot of shit to unlearn, and I've noticed afab trans people (self included) have a difficult time wholly unlearning shit overnight in part because of our own rejection of femininity in ourselves.

but don't do it at the expense of others safety here.

...you don't agree that giving a terf a platform is supporting a terf?

are you fucking seriously doubling down?

edit: this isn't the best place for what could easily devolve into a flamewar I'm going to make a post on /f/mediation.

Yeah I don't think we should be yelling insults at people in f/meta for disagreeing, or the place will turn into struggle sessions central where everyone is too afraid to say anything.

I linked you a two day old comment thread.

here it is again

you support terfs having a platform here.

Step the fuck down. You need to deal with your own internalized transmisogyny before you can safely moderate it.

Do you think trans women should be excluded fron women only spaces or not?

AlexanderReidRoss wrote

Biological females have a right to organize in female-only spaces if they wish, and to do so is not transphobic, nor does it warrant violence against women.

Their definition of 'transphobia' is obviously 'whatever I say it is'.

....you just made /f/trans a lot less safe...

e: elaboration

if you believe terfs deserve a space here because they're contributing in "other ways", you are saying their ideology isn't inherently harmful.

Would you support keeping a racist who digs their heels in the sand every time they're told they're being racist because they're vegan? If no, you're also a hypocrite. And yeah if you'd keep them because of it you're also saying racism is OK...

How fucking dare you say that. How fucking dare you support keeping someone who wants to exclude our own and has absolutely no interest in hearing why that is actively harmful.

"they've been civil" jesus fucking respectability much? Yes, they present their violent arguments in a palatable manner. THEY STILL ARE CALLING FOR THE REMOVAL OF TRANS WOMEN FROM WOMENS SPACES. End of. This is a clear TOS violation, repeatedly and knowingly. With citations.

By openly saying that rhetoric should not be banned, by giving it a platform, you are in fact supporting it.

If they really weren't as stubborn as you claim They would not have TWO DAYS AGO doubled down on their ideology.

Something would have gotten through by now.
