At the beginning there was discussion on their posts, which made them ok-ish, but now they're just spamming, without contributing in any other way. They never comment and don't even discuss their posts or anything, just post the same link over and over like a bot.

Also, it can be argued that raddle is a safe space, and that a non negligeable amount of users (and future users) are currently harassed by christians irl and don't necessarily want to see more proselytism in the one space on the net where there shouldn't be any.

Finally, this is more of a personal opinion, but considering the historical context between christianisme and anarchy, I do not feel comfortable the bible being promoted this much on an anarchist space, even if only by respect for the people killed in its name.

I agree and have banned them now. If anybody wants to make a case that it should stay you are welcome to say your piece here.

I did not have a problem with that user, I think it's ok for religious people to be here and religious content to be around, personally, and inviting conversation on religion can be a good thing from a critical perspective.

do you think it was inviting critical conversation?

not the OP, no. but that doesn't mean that one cannot be critical in response to such an opportunity.

thanks.

personally don’t like it. puts a bad taste in my mouth. at the same time i think i just proved that it’s possible to avoid it entirely.

thank G-d my bible has annotations, sacred tradition punches the gut more than supports capitalism.
