After Parler got denied entry to every hosting platform outside of Russia for supporting violence, there's no doubt in my mind the tech companies will want to extend this treatment to sites on the opposite end of the perceived political spectrum. They love painting their 'both sides' narrative and it helps them soothe the right's grievances when they deal 3 blows to the left for every action they're forced to take against the right.

To the new user who pmed me, no, please don't put 3d printed guns on raddle. This isn't the darknet and idk why anyone even wants to do darknet things on clearnet - it makes no sense for anyone's security culture. Even if a 'civil war' is coming to your country like you say, that has nothing to do with the userbase of this site. Anarchists wouldn't care if the USA's empire broke up.

If raddle is going to survive this new shutting down of providers of 'violent' content trend, everyone needs to be sensible. Don't engage positively with new users asking for tips on how to do violence to the US gov or make explosives. Don't hold any kind of discourse with people saying they're children and/or asking for tips on how to off themselves. There's very little chance someone asking questions like that isn't a fascist troll looking to get the site taken offline.

I'm going to be a lot more trigger happy with new accounts until this dies down, so please don't even joke about being a suicidal child, wanting to coup your gov, or whatever else. If you think I'm being paranoid, then I'm glad. Paranoia will keep this place online.

There are plenty of places to put 3D printed gun designs, or files associated with other potentially dangerous activities, it doesn't need to be here.

For example, you can simply seed a torrent, or better yet look on I2P. Make sure to only open the files you download in a safer sandboxed environment, and check them for rootkits using rkhunter, clamAV, etc

I honestly thought raddle ran on localhost ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I think a good idea would to be to disable registrations for the time being.

I'm only opening registrations for a few hours a day, while I'm in front of a computer.

Friendly reminder that anyone can be a cop, whether online or offline. This should not impact negatively impact our ability to form meaningful relationships (i.e. paranoia and mistrust destroys us and our struggles), but don't share any compromising information. If possible, don't provide any information that may be used to reveal your identity. In any case, please avoid providing information about other people you know (unless relevant).

Also, remember all guides and recommendations are written by humans and they make mistakes. More than that, some guides have been rewritten by intelligence services in the past in order to trick people into blowing themselves and such.

Stay safe, stay rebel
