OK, so please bear with me. I am an anarchist, a pacifist, a communist, I am in no way a right winger trolling here. I loved everything about raddle as soon as I found out about it, but yesterday I've found a potential issue hiding in Terms of Service. I would like to just ask about the background of it, not start heated discussions.

The ToS states e.g.:

Content is prohibited if it promotes white supremacy, queerphobia, transphobia, misogyny, classism, ableism, body shaming, antisemitism, Islamophobia, colonialism or age discrimination.

Content is also prohibited if it trivializes or makes light of rape..

Now I genuinely don't know if this is here specifically to create a "safe space" for the mainstream US "left", OR if it's there just for legal reasons, e.g. because it is illegal to make rape jokes where raddle is hosted. Please, can someone answer me this?

If raddle is trying to create a safe space, then I suppose its goal is also to suppress free speech, because these two are incompatible. Can someone confirm me this? If this is the case, I would like to further ask why is the goal to create a safe space only for this specific group of people. For example, a lot of people, me included, get a bad feeling from reading news about growing capitalism -- why doesn't the ToS address this and make non-positive news prohibited? Some people may get triggered by profanity, talking about mental illnesses etc. My question is: is raddle trying to appeal specifically to the mainstream US "left" (which aside from other things openly embraces censorship)?

If it is, that is okay, I'd just want to have this clearly stated so that I know whether to stay here or not.

NO, I do NOT support rape, I do NOT hate gay people, I just care about free speech, i.e. being able to talk about any topic. I am here just to ask whether radlle supports me in this or not.

Thank you very much, love and peace <3

Obligatory /w/free_speech plug.

Well, what is homophobia? If I say I don't hate gay people but I dislike when men act feminine and prefer to not be around them, because that is a fact and I cannot do anything about it, is that homophobia? If I make a joke about gay people, because that is simply how I speak, is that homophobia? Where is the line? Who is the judge? Will you ban me? Can't this be used as a weapon by the mods to oppress specific users? This is how oppressive regimes work.

No, the world is larger than the US and I find it ridiculous that you think those are issues that only care to Americans.

Also, how the fuck is prohibiting the promotion of bigotry infringes on free speech or the discussion of these issues?

I call it the "mainstream US left" simply because that's where it is 99% centralized, I can call it XRHZIUYSA if you don't like that term. What I mean by it is the group of LGBT, feminists, liberals and such, who created a gospel which e.g. highly enforces political correctness, censorship, bullying of the opposition etc. This is NOT what all leftists support. I simply asked why this specific group's rules are made the site-wide rules. My suggestion would be to only prohibit what is explicitly illegal and leave more specific rules to individual forums.

All I asked was why, without being offensive or disrespectful, and I was immediately banned without being given an answer. Would you like our society to work like this?

Raddle is hosted in the Netherlands. Raddle is made for the world's anarchists, and possibly other leftists.

No one is silencing you. People are practicing their freedom to associate with whom they please. You happen not to fit that description at all.

When someone comes to your house and tells you they want to kill you because of your identity and rape your children, do you let them stay and continue to listen because of free speech?

And is that the same thing as making a rape joke on the Internet or saying that I think rape isn't as bad as some other thing?

Wow I’d missed that.

Hey dickhead, why are you in such a hurry to minimize rape?

I can only hope no woman is ever alone with you.

Thanks for bullying me. I really thought there were mature and nice people in this community. That's okay, I get angry too sometimes. I don't hate you. Have a nice day :)

NO, I do NOT support bullying. My "I do not support bullying" t-shirt makes this very clear.

Lol so you feel too oppressed here that you start crying in other forums/communities and block people disagreeing with you? Pathetic.

So you think being banned for not being allowed to spread hate towards people you classify as feminine/not masculine enough makes the people here to fascists? Interesting.

Your ego is beyond anything. Should I be sorry that it hurt your feelings that people disagreed with your bullshit? No. Go fuck yourself.

What the fuck is wrong with you???

Movements such as LGBT, feminism and Antifa are not truly leftist and shouldn't be supported (as explained in the above linked manifesto).

Censorship is always wrong, possesion and sharing of any kind of information, including any type of pornography, has to be legal and moral. I agree with Richard Stallman on his views about child sexuality and pornography. All so called "private" information (e.g. medical records) should be public and in the public domain. Not sharing information has to be immoral.

Some things I dislike: [...] Antifa feminism LGBT [...] gay marriage/pride

You have so much of your information just out there in the open, too! I'm not as adept at security culture as anyone here, but this is just...wow.

Incels be like:

Feminism is nowadays agreed by many to have degraded to a movement fighting for female superiority[FES] and gaining political power, using means such as forcing ideas and laws, using violence and bullying (legal, psychological and physical), pursuing a revolution (which, as explained below, we are against). Examples of this include the metoo bullying campaign or supporting codes of conduct[COC] in free software development. This is in accordance with our observation (explained later on in the text) that the name of the movement indicates its goal – the movement is named feminism (implying female), not gender equality.

Homophobes be like:

LGBT: LGBT has gone the same road as feminism, to gaining power through force and fear, no longer caring about equality, but about the fight of homosexuals et al. against heterosexuals and everyone who simply disagrees with the LGBT gospel (e.g. gay marriage and adoption of children by gay parents). Their infamous pride marches have become a demonstration of power and give an impression of military parades meant to spread fear and war mentality. They also take part in aggressively pushing harmful codes of conduct[COC] in software development. The disinterest in actual equality is supported by the fact that LGBT doesn’t endorse sexual orientations that are nowadays unpopular and whose support would cost them political power. These include e.g. pedophiles, zoophiles and necrophiles, who are prosecuted as rapists and criminals (just as gay people were only a few decades ago, also resembling witch hunts that cost many innocent people their lives).

But not even Chomsky be like:

Antifa: Antifa is yet another movement opposing a rightist concept, but they are a militant (violent and oppressive) group, using very rightist means of fight, war, violence and oppression enjoyed by its members, making them actually a rightist group that simply competes with other rightist groups such as Neonazis. For this they are criticized and rejected by true leftists.[AFC]

This is me, drummyfish. I've been banned for simply posting this, without even being given time to answer questions in the thread.

Please, why are you behaving like this? I thought this left was different than the pseudo left that e.g. China is? Please, every user of this forum, ask yourself this question: Do you really want to be in a place where this censorship exists? Do you want to support this and possibly make it transfer to our societa? I'll leave the answer to everyone.

If any person is going to delete this comment, please, ask yourself the same question. Do you really want to be helping to implement this kind of oppressive system?

I don't hate you. Love and peace <3

Are you in a fucking reeducation center or were you just kicked out?

I'm not moved by Kantian ethics because they are as dull as the man who created them.

If I say I don't hate gay people but I dislike when men act feminine and prefer to not be around them, because that is a fact and I cannot do anything about it, is that homophobia?

Support for traditional gender roles is one of the least anarchist things you can do; that line of logic also leads to homophobia, transphobia, and misogyny.

If I make a joke about gay people, because that is simply how I speak, is that homophobia?

You speak entirely through jokes? And you'd want us to take you seriously?

Where is the line? Who is the judge? Will you ban me?

If you lurked more, it would have been obvious.

Can't this be used as a weapon by the mods to oppress specific users?

Yes. The Admins have tools for that and for each other if I recall correctly.

This is how oppressive regimes work.

Sir/Ma'am/non-binary gentleperson, this is website, not a nation. When you get kicked out of a club because you couldn't read the room despite being warned, is that oppression or the club expressing their freedom of association? Your analogy is sloppy.

And is that the same thing as making a rape joke on the Internet or saying that I think rape isn't as bad as some other thing?

No, but we don't want associate with people making light of rape. Is that so hard to understand?

how horrible it is to be around feminine gay people

I didn't say that and I wouldn't put it that way, please don't misquote me :/ I love all people, heterosexual or homosexual. It just may be the case that I don't feel good around gay people and I prefer to not be around them. Does saying that make me such a monster that I have to be expelled from a community? Yes, I know your answer.
