We've had bots here. Then emma redid some code and it killed them. But emma was going to make something called 'webhooks' that was supposed to make botmaking easier, so far as I understood. Not sure what's come of all that. u/emma?

Webhooks allowed Postmill to notify an external service when an event occurred, so not super-useful for bots.

They were implemented in 2018, went relatively unused, backward compatibility broke, and eventually I decided that + the lack of use wasn't worth the trouble, so I removed them in 2019.

There's a preliminary REST API in Postmill, but it's experimental and lacks a desirable authentication method, and so is disabled on Raddle. I'm not sure I'll ever have the time and energy to complete it, but I hope to at least have authentication in place some time soon so what's already there can be used.

I wonder where one might find people who would be able to help with programming. Is there a subreddit for programming in the relevant language?
