I like this article because it reminds me of what I, as a straight man, might be susceptible to doing in my relationship (or women in general) and to never do those things. Great :)

wow, I'm shocked that a "revolutionary" man with a hard-on for dunking on primitivists is making fatphobic and misogynist jokes to dunk harder on the "weirdo greens"

it's almost like he doesn't have familiarity with feminist critiques of domestication or patriarchy

On a serious note, I have recently been actually researching green anarchy lately but it's still so ridiculous. On one hand, you have people saying that humans were "superior" physically in prehistory, which can only be read to me as some bastardization of regressionist eugenics, and on the other hand people are telling me I'm fatphobic and think that some humans are superior to others.

Can't greens laugh at themselves just a little bit? Yeah I get that I uploaded a bunch in one day, I pretty much just googled "anprim memes" and chose the best ones. if you uploaded memes teasing mutualism or nihilism or anything else I identify with, I'm not going to freak out and act like it's an attack because ideologies aren't identities.

Sorry I'm not "revolutionary" enough for you because I don't want the Unabomber to sit on my face.

I get where primmies are coming from, seeing as humans were more "equal" in some ways before social hierchy was started through agriculture, civilization, etc. But come on guys... Let's analyze what we really want and since this is a meme page... Loosen up a bit? Look, I wasn't trying to be fatphobic or sexist, I know where those implications are coming from. But if you're anti-civ, you have to realize that people who are naturally disadvantaged in a literal hunt-gather environment are not going to be valued by the group.

The shaming of women for their sexuality has a particularly loaded context with fatphobia, which goes beyond the very real pain that overweight/obese men experience in western culture. It's a context which overweight & obese men frequently exploit in order to puff themselves up, due to patriarchy and a lack of self-respect.

On one hand, you have people saying that humans were "superior" physically in prehistory, which can only be read to me as some bastardization of regressionist eugenics, and on the other hand people are telling me I'm fatphobic and think that some humans are superior to others.

Identifying the role of increasingly monocultural diets in the development of disease is an entirely uncontroversial topic within biomedicine, and has nothing to do with eugenics inherently. There are a lot of very shitty anprims out there who have been famously crypto-fascist, but that doesn't take away from the merit of some of the ideas which primitivists have espoused, which are even informing the highest realms of the technocratic establishment because they are so obvious.

Can't greens laugh at themselves just a little bit?

Yeah, usually we like the jokes to be funny

ideologies aren't identities.

You are missing the point, you could be making fun of primitivists POVs and I just wouldn't engage or would have a totally different demeanor, we are pissed at you because you're being sexist and toxic-- and now, it seems like you are trying to pretend that you aren't, which looks really bad because it's similar to gaslighting...

Sorry I'm not "revolutionary" enough for you because I don't want the Unabomber to sit on my face.

No, I respect your right to withhold consent from Kaczynski assplay. I don't respect the shitty, embittered attitude that you take to women of dissenting opinions from your own.

But come on guys... Let's analyze what we really want and since this is a meme page... Loosen up a bit? Look, I wasn't trying to be fatphobic or sexist, I know where those implications are coming from.

Towards the end of your post, you seem to understand why what you posted wasn't very chill. I think I can relate, I have typed out indignant walls of text only to realize by the end that I was blustering quite a bit.

But if you're anti-civ, you have to realize that people who are naturally disadvantaged in a literal hunt-gather environment are not going to be valued by the group.

That is an entirely physio-utilitarian perspective which neglects the immensely important role of culture in determining social relationships. I do not think that would be universally true that people who are not as good at hunting or gathering would not be seen as "socially valuable" in that context, nor do I accept the premise that our current, inhumane conceptions of people as having itemized "value" to the group would exist in a more egalitarian paleolithic society.

That said, I am not a primitivist. Honestly, I don't think that identifying yourself with a particular tiny subset ideology is helpful at all in most cases, and I would argue that I have this perspective because of the primitivist critique of language & ideology (in part, anyway). I don't think we should "return" to a past that is partially imagined rhetorically by primitivists. I think technology is very useful, and should be democratized.

However, I think that the critiques that primitivism has produced are invaluable, and should inform revolutionary approaches to a wide variety of "givens" in our current post-industrial world. Especially in imagining a communist mode of production, where the means of existence are held in stable harmony with both ecological and human imperatives, primitivist ideas provide great insight and incisive accountability for the democratic technologist/transhumanist.

Most relevantly, I think the people who dunk on primitivists are usually doing so in bad faith and intellectual laziness, rather than having genuinely funny content or something interesting to add. It's really popular to do this these days in leftist circles, and it's ridiculous because in doing so the left loses out on a useful current of revolutionary dialectics and action.

It's a radical meme page. Not for reactionary memes.
