Sadly accurate. Years of careful trial and error have taught me that when people say, "Be yourself," or "Be creative," or "Be honest," they don't really mean it. What they actually mean is something closer to, "Tell me what I want to hear, but in a new way because I hate repetition, but not too new, because I'm afraid of change."
... and thus the anti-human nature of competition reveals itself. In order to be employable, one of the pieces will have to slice off the top of their head. You're just changing who the victim is.
Which reveals the anti-human nature of growth as well. In order for an economy to continue growing, "detrimental" individuals need to be culled or to contort themselves into shapes they'll never be able to hold. Who knew puzzle pieces were such apt stand-ins for life under capitalism?
