omg learning spanish is great. I hated it in high school and practiced some when I was 17 on duligo but this time I'm having the time of my life. I ranted to myself pretending I was talking to people for several hours and now my voice is super sore.

you can really say a lot if you are okay with saying broken spanish. Which isn't the best but I'm learning a lot of vocab. I've only been studying for a couple days and I'm at for active recall about 300. Which is cool because I'm hoping to hit 1000 of the most common words within 2 months. I got a big boost bc I still memorized a lot of the words. Plus the language transfer thinking method helps you gain massive vocabulary really fast by understanding why some english words are quite similar to english ones.

edit: my brain can think in spanish a little bit. its really fucking with me since I'm only used to english up there. It can just be in spanish for like 15 minutes which is odd. very bad spanish but i can have several kinds of conversations which is pretty fun

you should check out this thing called language transfer. It's like a short podcast, 5-10 minutes or so, i'm only like 10 episodes in but it's about thinking through the differences between English and Spanish. the first few episodes cover words that you already know and how to use them and then also covers the way to find words that are easily convertible from English words with Latin foundation (rather than the Germanic). a lot of people have recommended it to me as someone still learning Spanish.

another thing you might want to check out is Dreaming Spanish, a youtube channel, which is centered on language acquisition rather than grammar lessons, learning through exposure at comprehensible input.
