tbh I do call everyone dude or man, but if I know someone is trans I make sure not to because that's obviously just an asshole move. Especially if they don't know me personally.

I mean if they don't want to be called dude that's fair enough, but ive never really seen "dude" as an exclusively male thing. It could be because I grew up when good Burger came out, or that I use it realitie'y meaninglessly like "dude check this out" or what not and its just a filler like yo or woah or hey or whatever

Im not arguing calling someone dude that doesn't want to be called it. There are plenty of people that would object to being called that due to its informalness and I can respect that. I just think the way that I use it as a space filler at best and gender nuetral at works.

It has no implication of male superiority. Stop forcing your subjective opinion into it.

You're like that BBC girl that went on about digital blackface. Concerning stupid shit non issues and sacrificing actual productive discussion on things that matter. Stop being so dismissive and reactionary and take time to think about why you're arguing in the first place.

You could have just said. "I feel we should use more gender neutral words like humankind instead of mankind because it would help better represent all of us as a whole." And I agree.

There you go being dismissive again. Look obviously you're not here to have a discussion. Because you dont have a real argument instead of deflecting with an easy response of "No you are" why dont you explain why I cant call a group of my friends dudes. Including girls. Edit: spelling

No you didint, I would've observed and used that information to try and understand where you're coming from. Can you just copy paste It? What is patriarchy? I'm very new to all this and im trying my best to understand I don't want people being intellectually dishonest at me telling me I'm a troll and trying to invalidate me and my argument. This is very unpleasant and I don't want you to ruin my experience of who feminists are. So please.

What is patriarchy and why does masculine verbiage make it part of it?
