From The Drug Users Bible [Full disclosure - I wrote it]:

SUBJECTIVE EXPERIENCE: MUGWORT

Mugwort has a lengthy history of herbal use, and is immersed in folk tradition, certainly in the UK, where it tends to grow as a weed. With respect to the latter, it is even present in my own garden.

Given this commonality, it can’t be psychoactive, can it? The answer is yes it can.

As I wasn’t proficient enough to identify it at the time of testing, I ordered from a well known online vendor. I made a huge pot of tea, and drank it over perhaps half an hour. It wasn’t great to taste, but was manageable.

Lo and behold a mild sedation soon emerged. This was nothing to write home about, but it was strong enough to be sure that it wasn’t a placebo effect. However, it was when my head hit the pillow that the action really started.

The dreams were lucid and vivid, particularly the last one. I recall the dream in question to this day. I existed on a Facebook page. This was neither exciting nor worrying: it was simply where I was in the dream.

What was different, however, was that when I awoke and went back to sleep, I was immediately back into Facebook, albeit on a different page. This repeated itself again and again, to the point at which I was no longer comfortable and wanted to escape.

Of course, escape I eventually did, and I awoke fully.

As this was my first dream herb experience it had taken me by surprise, particularly as I had no pre-conceived ideas regarding the nature of these manifestations and effects.

Another aspect I discovered was that it doesn’t seem to be possible to chase the dreams, at least for me personally. I subsequently repeated the experiment several times, on each occasion with less effect.

There thus appears to be some sort of dream tolerance in play. I have no idea how long this lasts, or whether the vivid nature of the first mugwort dream can ever be repeated. The only way to determine this will be to rerun the exercise in a few months, which I will endeavour to do.

I should point out that this does not appear to apply to everyone, as there are many Internet reports which do claim success with frequent and regular use. It should also be noted that some people smoke it instead of making tea.

Overall, this is a very interesting plant, and well worthy of further exploration.

Not related to what you want to do, but mugwort was used by my grandma as a folk medicine for hangover and as profilaxis for liver health. She jus macerated a bunch of leaves in a tall glass of cold water and it was very bitter but helped you to feel better.

I always heard about thujone, but how exactly mugwort helps with lucid dreaming?

Give it some time and see how it works, you want to be sure that whatever medium you are growing your mushrooms in is also sanitary enough that yeasts or mold wont colonize your container before your spores do, pasteurizing your rice/water as well as the container will deliver more consistent results, i had a friend who heated manure in a pressure cooker to make sure it was totally free from bacteria/yeast/mold and it worked very well for the type of mushrooms he grew :)

The seeds of several varieties of Morning Glory (Ipomoea violacea) contain a naturally occurring indole called Lysergic Acid Amide (LSA)

The most common active varieties of seeds are Heavenly Blue, Pearly Gates, and Flying Saucers.

If you often use marijuana, you may have motivation problems because your whole condition depends on your hormonal system and prognosis. If you often smoke cannabis, then all your processes in the body slow down, and accordingly, you want to live or do something less. However, if you smoke cannabis every few weeks, there are no such problems. On the contrary, you relax your nervous system and give it a discharge; the whole point is how often you use cannabis. For example, I can afford to go to one of the best dispensaries in Burlington from https://thespotcannabis.com/ and buy marijuana and smoke it, but this may happen once a month.

I have consumed them before in small amounts and they were a nice mood enhancer and made colours more vivid. I learned to dry them before eating them, but that even dried it's better not to take large amounts because of potential negative side effects. I never took enough to have like real hallucinations.

I’ve harvested Amanitas before. It’s important to only pick the bright red ones as the orange ones and any other spotted amanita is likely toxic/deadly.

My memory is foggy about it but they need to be dehydrated for the psychoactive chemical to be activated. Cooking them will kill the chemicals.

The story is shamans would drink reindeer pee because the reindeer eat the mushrooms process the toxins out and pee out the psychoactive.

All that said, I never had any truly noticeable high from drinking tea made from the dehydrated mushrooms.

Thanks, of course, for the detailed article, but what's the point of smoking other plants if the effect of marijuana is the best. It is a pity, of course, that it cannot be grown in small quantities. Otherwise, I would smoke it almost every day. By the way, as a person who smokes a joint every 3 days, I can confidently say that cbg gummy no thc ( Link ) is great for everyone who does not like smoking joints but wants to get a light relaxation from the effect of marijuana. I didn't know about these gummies until my friend brought them a month ago. By the way, he eats them almost every day :)

As someone with bad pain that doctors won't give meds to

FYI, kratom is a herb that is pretty similar to hydrocodone for pain relief. Tho its prob the most extreme pain releif you cna get which also has many cons. Tho if you think you would have the willpower to have strict limits on its use it could be helpful on really painful days.

And if you would wanna try cannabis, I would definitely either do vaping herb or very very low dose edibles. All other methods in my experience impair ones thinking so much that it might put you off if looking for pain relief. Tho if you do do that. Keep in mind lots and lots of people put lots of time and energy into saying the many major cons of cannabis are myths. Which is something worth keeping in mind.

it's common where i live, not rare at all. the claimed medicinal qualities are quite unusual. the article states that mycorrhizal fungi colonize tree roots in a 'symbiotic albeit parasitic' relationship which by definition is not possible.

Don't forget about lavender! It wont get you high but its calming, helps you get better sleep, has mild euphoric effects and smells great. Its a little harsh when you smoke it tho, but not that bad.
