It'd be nice if there was a way to find out how many lists we are on.

Pretty sure someone from my country can't ask anything from US or other authorities.

Maybe there are equivalents where I live, but what I really want is just some thing where I can google my name and it tells me what lists I'm on and how being on that list affects me.

Why do you think that you are on a list?

Eh, can't really answer this one. But I'm mostly asking because I'm curious about what levels of knowledge and concern about specific radicals what groups have.

there's really no capitalist solution to crisis of social reproduction that DOESN'T involve forcing (certain kinds of) people into reproductive and/or care labour, commodified or otherwise - - meaning everything we'd put in the categories of "patriarchy", "white supremacy", and "border imperialism"

Good point. This is close to my heart as a father of 5. Are you reading anything interesting on social reproduction at the moment?

This week I found a great way to get myself to study properly. Been loading all my textbooks & notes on a kindle and then going to the library with no connection to the internet. Has been very effective so far. I don't have enough impulse control to have a phone or laptop with me.

I didn't have internet and was still unable focus long enough to study or pay attention in class. Every test I ever took was me just guessing the answers.

I've been using anki (flashcard app for computer and android phones) for some time now, and it's quite good:

  • I get to digest my lessons when I make the flashcards, by choosing what's important or not.

  • I can flick through them in the bus in the morning. It makes studying feel easy, while still clocking in ~30 mins a a day of revisions.

WHY are there people self-identifying as oogles. WHY are there people calling themselves "anti-communists but not racist". i am no communist but we all should be anti-anti-communists

I have had a very emotional Friday. A very abusive person sent me a text that really messed with me. I have a massive tension headache and am emotionally raw. I want to engage in some of the convos on the site soon but today was not the day for it. Happy to have the weekend coming and looking forward to my mother in law visiting.

I've been reading up on US history for school and damn I knew it was fucked up but I didn't know it was this fucked up. I thought the worst was the Trail of Tears. Turns out I was wrong.

Thoroughly, utterly wiped. Bombed a quiz after 2 hours of lectures (2 questions, 80%/20%? Fucking WHY?!); as of the time of writing, I've spent an extra hour in one of the labs trying to fix a project, no luck. Shit won't fucking work properly and I'm too tired to care; I have to wait for an unknown amount of time before I can get a partial credit grade because the queue system here is fucking ridiculous and there are only 2 TA's here while the lab if full of other students. Cafe's gonna be closed by the time I'm finished here, so I'm gonna end up eating canned soup and microwaveable Macaroni & cheese for dinner.
